Throwback to the biggest King Salmon (42lbs) Captain Riley has personally caught here in Southeast Alaska. This large Chinook having ivory (white) flesh may be less of a surprise to some. According to some genetic studies done on this mutation, there are particular rivers with a higher percentage of this genetic mutation. They also happen to be stocks of King Salmon that maintain a larger average size. 🐟🏔️
