Wow, what a summer! Eat, sleep, hike, repeat… 🤗🥾

Thanks to everyone who hiked with us and made this season so incredible! We’re grateful for the connections made, the trails hiked, the wildlife spotted, the beer tasted , the boat rides , the berries picked, the trail engagements, the peaks summited, the laughs, and many memories made!

To be completely transparent, we aren’t making a profit on these hats. We just love seeing our logo and brand worn by friends and supporters! We wanted to create something useful and sustainable to represent the business, and these are the perfect product. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one already! Yesterday’s 6+ mile journey from Gavan Hill to Harbor Mountain was a dream! The fall colors of the alpine have arrived, and the light was hitting just right. Here are a few shots to document the adventure from start to finish. It was a tough hike but in the words of our clients ‘no pain, no gain’ - it was definitely worth the climb! ⛰️✨🍂

Hiking in Alaska can be intimidating! Before a hike with us, you can expect to receive a safety briefing as well as a description of the trail and adventure ahead. We talk about bear safety, details of the terrain, and trail etiquette. We provide water and snacks to make sure we’re staying hydrated and energized throughout the hike. With a small private tour, we go at a pace that is comfortable and safe for you and your group.

Since all of the trails we frequent are popular amongst locals, we do our best to have minimal impact on others and leave the trail better than we find it. We keep our groups small, pick up any trash we come across, and ensure we’re respecting this incredible land at all times by staying on trail and leaving no trace.

Thanks to these folks for being so enthusiastic about the adventure ahead. We love our hikers! 🙌🏼🥾

We had a wonderful day hiking to the summit of Mount Edgecumbe this weekend! With 14 miles and 3,200 ft of elevation gain, this was a full day adventure filled with soaking up sun, miles of muskeg, ocean views, peaceful river breaks, summit hot chocolate, gusting winds, and lots of laughs with new friends. What a special experience for us all! Thanks to for getting us there and back safely!

Shoutout to Beaver Lake - a fan favorite! We’ve taken more folks on this hike than any other trail this summer. With its mix of old-growth forest, open muskeg, waterfalls, mountain views and lake access, this trail covers a wide range of scenery in just a few miles. Here are just a few snapshots of a recent Alpenglow hike around Beaver Lake.

Did you know that Beaver Lake was stocked with Arctic grayling in the 1990’s? This species of freshwater fish is closely related to a trout and has a beautiful dorsal fin dotted with red and purple spots. Today’s hikers brought their travel rods and fishing licenses to make it a multi-adventure experience! Hiking, fishing, bird watching, and staring in awe at our epic mountains. What a day to remember 🙌🎣⛰️

Note: we are not fishing guides! These hiking clients brought their own gear and bought their own fishing licenses prior to the trip. All rules and regulations were followed 😇

We just finished our final trip of the summer out to Sea Lion Cove! It was a day of misty hiking, beach combing, ocean dipping, wildlife spotting (11 deer and 7 bears!), and lots of laughs with this all gals crew. It’s hard to put into words just how special it is to share this slice of paradise with Sitka locals and friends.

Our next collaboration with will be guiding small groups up Mount Edgecumbe! The first date in the books is July 26th. Reach out for more information and to snag your spot!

The Kaasda Héen Indian River trail never disappoints. A local favorite with the perfect mix of old-growth forest, turquoise water, and open muskeg great for animal spotting. Today’s hikers were lucky enough to have sun, Sitka Black-tailed Deer, and perfect views of the Three Sisters, the beautiful mountains in our logo. What a day! 🙌⛰️
