A great part of our tours is meeting people for all over the world. My new friends from Singapore went on a Private Skagway tour with us to the Yukon Suspension Bridge in May. It was windy and chilly, but we had a wonderful time. Thank you Almur, Christina, Felyn, and Samantha.

Mush on!!!

Let’s welcome our final musher for the Two Rivers 200, Michelle Philips!

Michelle comes to us from the Yukon Territory and has a kennel of 65 dogs, Tagish Lake Kennel. She has run 12 Iditarods, 9 Yukon Quests, and numerous other mid-distance races across Alaska and the Yukon.

Michelle also just recently won the Yukon Quest 450 a couple weeks ago!

We are excited for you to round out our 200 mile racers, Michelle!

Michelle Phillips defends her title!

In a year full of changes, one thing remained the same: Michelle Phillips is the YQ450 champion. She held off a strong push from Mayla Hill to claim first place. It was an exciting race as both mushers stopped near Stepping Stone, but ultimately Michelle's early race strategy helped her in the end as she was able to get on the trail sooner and back towards the line.

Michelle crossed the finish line at 1:08pm in this shortened YQ450 race. A huge congratulations goes to her and her team for their successful run in the 2024 Yukon Quest!

We have our winners for each of our races, but we also still have mushers on the trail. And so, as tradition calls for, the red lantern remains on until we know everyone is back home safely.

Lots has happened in less than 24 hours — Michelle and team are on route to the Carmacks checkpoint, they breezed by Mandanna and are championing through the cold climate. Currently in second place, with some good rest in the books! Godspeed to our mighty team on Day 2!

A huge thank you to Air North, Yukon's Airline for letting us take part in a fun photoshoot! It was a breezy and chilly morning, but the crew, the mushers, and the dogs braved the cold to make for an unforgettable event.

Air North has been an incredible partner for the Yukon Quest, and we couldn't be happier with the support they provide us. Truly representative as the Yukon's airline, they embody the community spirit that makes the Yukon such a beautiful place. A big shoutout as well to Air North's photographer Simon Blakesley, who shot this amazing photo!

And for anyone wondering, Michelle Phillips was behind the shot and while the dogs were happy to be with the sled, they were actually running towards her.
