For those of you who don't know, our beloved Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is no more. Yes, I am one of those that is still heartbroken. And I will treasure my last ride I took the night before it closed its doors permanently.

👑🐸 Those of you excited for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, it is officially opening on June 28th, 2024! This will be a Virtual Queue as it first opens. Which means, just like Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy, be ready at 6:59am and have your fast fingers on the app to secure a virtual queue boarding group! If you miss out on the morning, there is the second attempt at 1:00 pm. The catch to this time, you must be in Magic Kingdom to try to land a boarding group.

📽 🎉 Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort has an Anniversary today! Hollywood Studios is the latest name to this park at Walt Disney World.

🎥 May 1st, 1989 the park opened as MGM Studios and was the third park out of the four parks we know of today.

🎥 Anyone else still call it MGM? I certainly do slip from time to time!

🐣🐰🌷 Happy Easter! Today at Walt Disney World guests can hop over to Magic Kingdom to meet Mr. & Mrs. Bunny, escape the crowds and head over to the Grand Floridian Resort to enjoy the eggcellent egg display or breeze on over to EPCOT and go on an egg hunt!

Of course there will be holiday treats and several restaurants will feature a holiday brunch menu. Just a little (🐰) food for thought for next year if you want to mix it up or start a new tradition.

🌴✈️🇫🇷🇮🇹 ☕️Happy Saturday! If you’re just hanging out at home this weekend, put down the laundry and take a virtual vacation with me to Disney’s Riviera Resort! Scroll through these photos of a preferred deluxe studio and you’ll easily see why this resort is known for elegance and charm. With the Murphy style bed (over the couch) and the pull down sleeper (under the TV) there is room, and plenty of it, for up to five adults.

🎉 You can look forward to magical late-night parties throughout the summer, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the tropical Disney water park with shorter wait times. The 2024 H2O Glow After Hours season offers more event nights than ever before, with 18 select evenings from May 25 to Aug. 31, 2024.

🎶🎤 You can immerse yourselves in radiant lighting effects, vibrant decor, and high-energy DJ dance parties with some of their favorite Disney characters, like Goofy.

❗️New this year, cabanas will be available to rent online for groups looking for a private, reserved area during the event.

⭐️ 🎬 The All-Star Resorts are the most affordable and have theming to please just about everyone. All-Star Movies Resort specifically, has BIG Disney vibes and brings classic stories to life with sections featuring Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story, The Mighty Ducks, and The Love Bug- all which offer so many incredible photo opportunities!

Before the skyliner, All Star Movies was my go to resort. Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite and to stay where I can walk up to a larger than life size sorcerer hat and see Sorcerer Mickey in the pool area… yes please!

When taking a break from the parks, you’ll love the pool activities, playground, arcade, shopping and the World Premiere Food Court. You can even enjoy Movies Under the Stars most nights. Be sure to check out the activities board around the resort to see the schedule for the movies and other activities like campfires! 🪵

🚫🎒Many of us were avid Disney vacationers before we became Universal travelers and have had to relearn the logistics of park bags.

🎒Bags are no problem at Walt Disney World, but at Universal the rules are a little different. Anything larger than a small f***y pack will get you booted from line & headed to their FREE locker bank. Once you get the hang of it, not worrying about forgetting your phone in a seat pocket is pretty liberating.

🫣🦸‍♀️ I’m just going to say it... f***y packs are the unsung heroes of a Universal Studios vacation. Can’t wrap your head around rockin’ the pack, here’s my top three reasons why you need to change your mind:

1️⃣ Bypass the Lockers: MANY attractions at Universal Studios require that larger bags are put in a locker prior to getting in line. Most, however, allow f***y packs, only three don’t. That’s a big time saver.

2️⃣ Hands Free: Hands free to hold more Butterbeer! No awkward maneuvering needed to access your stuff, just look down my friend, it’s right there.

3️⃣ Forced to Pack Light: With limited space for just the essentials, you’ll have no choice but to leave any “just in case” but totally unnecessary items at home.

1️⃣ 🥏🏍️🌐 If there’s one thing you need to know about TRON Lightcycle/Run it is that you can’t simply wait in line to ride it. You heard that right, there is no standby line. There are two ways to “enter the grid” and both require the use of the My Disney Experience app. Here are your options:

🌐 Virtual Queue: For most guests, there will be two opportunities to join a virtual queue-one in the morning and in the afternoon. It’s competitive and fills up in nanoseconds. You need fast fingers, luck and tips.

⚡️Individual Lightning Lane: You can buy your way on, which is more likely to be available but again, it’s not guaranteed. The cost can also add up real quick.

🤑 I can’t answer if I think the ride is worth buying an Individual Lightning Lane, that’s subjective. However, I can state with authority that if you want to ride it and don’t get the opportunity to, that’s going to sting and you don’t want that. 👎
