Update on Hudson Fire and Evacuation. Residents from Highway 71 at Alum Creek north to Goiter Trace have been notified to evacuate. This is in addition to previous notifications along Park Road 1C. Sixty Four residences are evacuated. The Smithville Rec Center will be opening their shelter at 6:30 PM. Bastrop Long Term Recovery is getting the hotline set up. Animal Services and Agrilife Extension are on standby for animal sheltering needs. At this time, the fire is approximately 400 acres and 10 % contained. Crews are creating containment lines and protecting structures.
