Have you attended the Smithville Tiger Theatre's performance of The Games Afoot?

It's December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. It is then up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.

Performances will be held in the Smithville Elementary Cafetorium on Friday & Saturday, November 22 & 23 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $7 and should be purchased in advance at: https://spicket.events/smithville

We’ve got BIG news!

To our dear customers… we have some changes coming up to share with you. As some of y’all may know we have a sauce we make that we call “Mojo Glaze”.. it’s what we use on our brussels sprouts and has been really popular. It has always been our intention to bottle this product and others that have been popular in the restaurant… so we will be converting the other half of the restaurant space that we divided off into manufacturing space. We are super excited to be able to start manufacturing our products!

More news… we have decided to hand over the keys to the restaurant space to dear friends of ours who are ready to convert to a brick-n-mortar… Bubby’s BBQ! We see ourselves in this sweet family when we were just starting our restaurant many years ago. They will treat their customers with the same love and care we have given ours. Plus it brings our community a new sit down food option with great BBQ.

More news… Hope Floats will remain open and continue to have ice cream, gelato, desserts, espresso, smoothies, smoothie bowls etc… BUT we will be adding on pizza, sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, soups, bowls, wraps & more for lunch and dinner. This menu will be made up of majority non-gmo or organic ingredients.

So our family will still be feeding and serving our community… just with a different menu while keeping on a few favs like brussels sprouts or pot roast. So this isn’t goodbye… it’s just us shifting over to Hope Floats to bring y’all different types of food and free up some of our time to get our manufacturing off the ground.

When? We are aiming for first week of December. Your Mom’s will remain open thru November 30th… so you have the rest of November to come in and have our chicken fried steak or whatever your favorite menu item may be.

We love y’all and hope y’all are as excited as we are about these changes. We can’t wait to bring y’all a different menu at Hope Floats! We’ll keep y’all updated on that… new menu will be posted soon.

Also keep an eye on Bubby’s BBQ for their grand opening announcement.

Much love,
The Blackmore Fam 💕

So many wonderful folks joined us along with the Smithville Robotics Boosters / #5503 Tiger Trons students from Smithville High School!!! We counted over 50 people who stopped by and helped give these Gingerbread Men a little holiday make-over!

This community is amazing and we love how they come together to support our efforts at the Chamber of Commerce, and for the community as a whole!

Get ready to pick up your Gingerbread Man on Saturday or Sunday, November 23-24, 2024, from 10:00am - 2:00pm, at 102 NE 1st Street (Railroad Park).
