Today’s blessing…

We took Mom to her cabin for first time and watching her have her first corny ever.

Wonderful treats for mom’s visit…Beavers Bend Creative Escapes is a wonderful management company and I’m so blessed to have them taking care of our cabin.

Grand children started arriving yesterday and by this afternoon we will have five generations enjoying thanksgiving.

This morning’s blessing …

It’s been a hard road getting this house done and we are nearly there. As I sit on the back patio enjoying a cup of coffee and reading my morning devotional, I see God’s blessings in front of me and there is peace for the moment.

Walker is my patio buddy today.

Our western pastures create a small valley. The birds love to soar above it. A thing of beauty to watch.

One thing you don’t find in the city, or really even think about is saw mills. Getting boards cut at a local mill saved us some money and was fun. We will be taking the sycamore that had to cut down next week.

Today's blessings...

The house is finally on the market and it feels like we are really close to being done with this adventure. I know we are ready to be done so that we can settle into our new home.

Our tile installation by Custom Tile by Clint Owen, our paint crew and the crew that took over the cabinet installation have been the best. Dependable and great at their craft. So nice to know that something is being done right the first time.

We are getting to know our way around the area and discovering new places and meeting new people all the time. Today I had the extreme pleasure of going to The Light House & Flooring Gallery to pick out backsplash tile. Xenia made the process fun and so enjoyable and the prices were better than any of the discount places we have gone to.

A wonderful two hour nap.

Walker has decided that he wants a morning walk also. He hasn't tried to join Merlin and Harper, but the last few mornings I have found him waiting by the start of my mowed path. When he sees me I get "happy paw" (play bows) and then he heads down the path. Hopefully we will someday have all three dogs walking together.

Today’s Blessings…

A wonderful dinner with my son and his beautiful family at Yoshi Shabu Shabu. What a fun evening!

It was so nice to enjoy time with my granddaughters. They are growing up so fast.

Back at the farm to supervise the paint at the house. My mother in law lovingly puts up with us and our dogs, moods, noise etc. as we try to get this thing done.

The dogs are great travel pups.

This morning's blessings...

Sitting on the deck and enjoying the cool breeze while listening to the local wildlife. Its so peaceful.

I love learning. I just finished "Polyface Micro" by Joel Salatin. So much good information. I can wait to apply some of it to the farm. My next book is "The Small-Scale Poultry Flock" by Harvey Ussery. More to learn. The next book will be fiction...maybe.

Slept 12 hours Saturday night. Boy I needed it! I feel refreshed and like I'll have the energy needed to tackle my chores. I've been burning the candle at both ends for a few weeks.

Helping a neighbor get ready for the movers to arrive this morning.

Getting phone calls from both my daughter and my grandson. It was so good to talk to them both.

Today’s Blessings…

Starting my day overlooking our west pasture. It has a small valley look to it with a beautiful spring fed pond. Mulling over a name for the pasture…”something” Dale.

It’s a very very busy time right now. The house is moving along quickly now, the business has been moved, and chickens have to be move. This means building a new coop and run using my granddad’s hammer.

A June rainstorm to cool things off.

This morning’s blessings…

We are into June and the weather this morning is still wonderful for coffee on the patio.

Mom had her best day since surgery yesterday. She ate a whole hamburger.

The message for today on my Hallow app was to remind me not to focus on how people of hurt me/us, but that what the good Lord has done for us and how we often hurt him and he continues to love us beyond measure.

We were running low on k-cups so I had a nice cappuccino this morning.

My great great Aunt Mabel taught me how to hang clothes on a clothes line. I did it for years when we didn’t have a dryer. Now I do it because of the fond memories of my aunt, of standing barefoot in the clover while my children played around me and the wonderful clean smell that comes naturally that no amount of dryer additives can mimic. Sleeping on fresh air dried sheets on the bed is wonderful!

Thank you Lord for all of my wonderful blessings!
