We are devastated to share the passing of our favorite Grizzly 399. 😢😢
Although on our trip just a few weeks ago we did not spot her, we did see her and her newest cub Spirit October 2023. She was magnificent!
Her tragic end has all of us heartbroken. Rest in peace Queen of the Tetons and the original Mama Bear💔
We would love to start an initiative to work with the park and raise money for a bronze statue of 399 with some cubs perhaps to be placed in one of her favorite Meadows in the park. A place for all of us to go and pay tribute to this magnificent grizzly bear ! Anybody else with us?

Holidays and festival weekends are extremely popular at MVR.
