🚨Exciting news, Snohomish Wedding Guild members! The 2024-2026 SWG Board of Directors nominations are officially open as of today and will run through the end of the month.

If you’re passionate about serving, promoting, and improving our guild, now’s your chance to make a difference! To apply, you must be a current member and have a minimum of two consecutive years of active membership.

Interested in applying? You’ll need to fill out an application and submit a short intro video. Then in November, there will be an opportunity for members to vote online. The board will be sending an email with the application details, or DM us and we’ll make sure you get it!

We get it... Wedding planning can be overwhelming at times, but we’re here to help make it a little easier! We asked wedding professionals in our network for some of the most common mistakes they see, and here’s what they said:

💸 Not setting a budget: Sort out your priorities and your budget early! This will set the tone for all of your key decisions.

✉️ Ignoring the guest list: Your guest list goes hand-in-hand will all of your major venue and vendor hires. Plus it will directly impact your budget so make your list early so you know the general size your wedding will be.

🔍 Not doing enough research: Before hiring vendors, check their references and make sure you do consultations to make sure they’ll be the perfect fit for your wedding.

📝 Overlooking vendor contracts: Always read and understand contracts. Ensure you know what’s included, payment terms, and cancellation policies.

🤯 Trying to handle everything yourself: Taking on too much can lead to burnout. Try to delegate tasks to trusted friends, family, or hire professionals to manage various aspects of the wedding.

👗 Not allowing enough time for alterations: If you’re ordering a custom dress, allow ample time for fittings and alterations to ensure a perfect fit.

⏰ Putting off a wedding timeline: A detailed timeline helps keep everything on track. Create a schedule for the ceremony, reception, and other key events to ensure a smooth flow.

My Snohomish Wedding is the premier Snohomish wedding tour: a self-guided experience through quaint downtown chapels and spacious ballrooms to the forest, fields, gardens and barns of the beautiful oasis venues on the skirts of town. You’ll meet incredible professional vendors at each venue that strive to help your perfect wedding vision come to life. My Snohomish Wedding has a variety of venues and wedding professionals that will help you make your special day perfect. You can be assured that the venues and professionals represented on this website are highly regarded professionals in their field and they are committed to providing excellence and you can have the utmost confidence in their services.

The Snohomish Wedding Tour is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31, 2020. The Tour begins at 10 am. and runs through 5 p.m. Tickets are available now, and it’s FREE to attend. The Tour features beautiful venues and nearly 100 of the regions premiere wedding professionals who are ready to answer all your questions and help you create your dream wedding.
