At Sunbelt Solomon, we prioritize ongoing education and safety training as part of our commitment to excellence.

Our skilled team developed an innovative 120V working regulator designed specifically for training purposes. Featuring cutaways and LED indicators to highlight its internal operations, the unit received exceptional feedback from local customers in Decatur. Recognizing its broader potential, we introduced the idea of continued training to our customers, and Nolin RECC in Elizabethtown, KY, enthusiastically embraced the opportunity. One of their team members, who was creating a training program for regulators, identified it as the perfect resource.

With the full support of our management, we cleaned, tested, and personally delivered the unit to Nolin RECC. Now on loan, this training tool will be used to educate linemen from across the state.

We’re proud that every participant in these Kentucky training sessions will have hands-on experience with a Sunbelt Solomon regulator. This partnership reflects our dedication to safety and professional development in the industry, and we’re excited to contribute to the growth of linemen throughout the region.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU) Lineman Apprenticeship Academy at our Solomon, KS location as part of the lineman training program. These individuals are part of a rigorous 4-year program that combines 750 classroom hours, 2000 supervised hours, and 10 different work processes.

This past weekend we received an urgent call from an electrical contractor in Michigan. Their customer was in a critical situation—a storm had washed away a bank, causing their transformer to fall downhill.

By Monday morning, a replacement transformer was already on its way to the site. Thanks to our team in Sharon, PA, the replacement transformer was installed, and operations resumed with minimal downtime.
