We’re going (back) to Costa Rica! This trip is near and dear to Tusker Travels because it was the last big thing to happen in 2020 before the shut down. Benvenuto Italia! In Como we learned about the difference between Roman and Gothic architecture, spent some free time shopping and enjoying lunch. As the sun broke through the clouds, we boarded a boat to tour the villas along Lake Como.

You can sponsor an elephant for 6 months or 1 year to help provide the best food, medical care, and shelter for the elephants. The Nature Sanctuary creates beautiful “Elephant Cakes” mades of various fruit and rice to be provided on special occasions such as the elephants birthdays. Today we were able to watch one family of elephants enjoy their cake! Sponsors receive videos and photos of the elephants enjoying their special treat!

To apply for permission to travel abroad with Tusker Travels Inc. a traveler must be:
1. Enrolled in any local school as a sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the trip (unless otherwise stated in the trip description)
2. In appropriate social, emotional, and physical health
3. Able to self-medicate any required medications
Traveler Submits on the online application:
1. Agreement of Participation
2. Supplemental Fees Agreement
3. Waiver and Indemnification Agreement
4. Student Letter of Interest
5. 3 Teacher Character Reference Forms (1 form can be from a current employer)
6. Tour Company Enrollment Form & Deposit: You can have this payment charged to your credit card or directly to your checking account by filling out the necessary information on the Enrollment Form. This charge will not go through if your travel application is denied.
Approval Process:
-The committee will review applications and return a "Yes" or "No" decision. The committee consists of Christine Lepkowski, William Maelia, Christine Brooks, Anna Timone, and Angela Holder. The decision of the committee is final; the committee is not required to give parents, guardians, or travelers a reason for denial. No information contained in the confidential character references will be shared with the traveler or his/her parent or guardian.
