Bust out those dancin' shoes, sunglasses, and portable lawn chair - the three-day Master Musicians Festival is coming to on July 18-20 at the Somerset Community College Festival Field! The event features a free kids camp (all children aged 12 and under receive free entry to the festival), on-site local arts and crafts vendors, free parking with a shuttle service and so much more!

Try a little bit of everything at the "A Sample of Somerset" event 🍴🎶 on Thursday, June 13 from 5:30-8pm at the Judicial Center Plaza! Try menu samples from local bakeries, restaurants, caterers, and delis. Enjoy the evening out downtown with live music, inflatables, vendors, and family-friendly games. The event is hosted by the Somerset Junior Woman's Club and the Don Franklin Somerset Family of Dealerships.

From the 🚜👩‍🌾 farm to your table! Lake Cumberland Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8-1pm and on Tuesdays from 3-7pm (May - October). Bring a bag to gather up all the Kentucky Proud finds, crafts, and more at the Citizens National Bank Pavilion at 401 E. Mt. Vernon Street in the heart of downtown Somerset.

On Tuesday, June 11, the market will feature food from Bigfoot BBQ of KY and live music from The Catdaddies!

Rest by the cozy fireplace at The Bar Upstairs with a spirit 🍸 of your choice, where vintage speakeasy vibes meet modern luxury! The unique space is located through the alley behind Embassy Tattoo Studio on E. Mt. Vernon St. and offers a full-service bar open from 5pm to 1am, Wednesday through Saturday. Owners Mike Jones and Austin Fair with Manager Samatha Fair said they chose their hometown for the business to add to the vibrant, ever-growing energy in downtown .

There are dedicated areas for dancing, live music, games, and private conversation. The speakeasy offers Wednesday Ladies' Night, Thursday Open Mic Nights, karaoke nights, and beyond.

What's happenin' at the 🍻 'Tap? In addition to a complete remodel, Tap on Main Brewing hosts weekly Open Mic Nights on Thursdays from 8-11pm, Karaoke on Saturdays from 8pm-12am, and new spirited drinks on the menu, including the locally famous, "Loaded Myra," a spicy twist on the classic Bloody Mary. We're gearing up for a ⚡LOADED⚡ Somernites Cruise weekend! Grab yourself a cinematic selfie 📸 during The Virginia's Classic Movie Night on Friday, May 24 at 7pm featuring the "Back to the Future" DeLorean parked on E. Mt. Vernon St.

The Cruise's "Show and Shine" event begins downtown on Saturday from 12-6pm featuring a "Mopar Mania" showcase and the 8th Annual "Circle the Wagons" station wagon display. Enjoy vendors, music, and more - rain or shine! All classic vehicles and hot rods are always welcome to display during the event.

Remember to bring your lawn chair at 6pm to watch the wide array of vehicles "Cruise the Strip" along U.S. Hwy. 27.

So much to do, so little time! Here’s the highlight reel of our whirlwind week with Lake Cumberland Tourism-Somerset-Pulaski County CVB sharing what makes the place to be during the KACVB Tourism meeting and KTIA conference!

From local agribusiness Woodstock Lavender Co. to our historic downtown event venue The Virginia, we featured some of our best locations to over 200 tourism pros from across the state. We wish everyone could have stayed awhile for the weekend - there’s so much to enjoy!

Step inside charming southern hospitality in downtown Somerset at The Gracious Table. The newest specialty culinary shop on E. Mt. Vernon St. is run by the grandmother/granddaughter duo, Janice Johnson and Ella Grace Meaux. Their dream to open a shop together has been nine years in the making! "Mrs. Janice" has had a life-long passion for sewing the seeds of hospitality by gathering people around a table for a home-cooked meal. The Gracious Table offers specialty foods, vintage goods, teas, and more!

"We hope to inspire people to bring hospitality into their homes the same way she (Mrs. Janice) loved having people in her kitchen," co-owner Ella Grace Meaux said.

Start your Saturday morning out at the Lake Cumberland Farmers Market Opening Day from 8am-1pm at the Citizens National Bank Pavilion, then head up the street to Fountain Square and enjoy Somernites Cruise’s first event of the season happening between 12pm-6pm. This weekend will feature an “LS” showcase, vintage tractor display, and Jeep & 4x4 display. All events are rain or shine and admission is free!

🎉 Congratulations 🎉 to the Busker Musician Contest winner: Brando Vanschoyck!

He is an award-winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is originally from Hindman, KY, and now resides in . His raw, thought-provoking lyrics combined with his distinctive fusion of genres and instruments, created a captivating musical experience for Foodstock attendees. Brando will be performing at our Moonlight Festival on October 19. Let's hear it 👏 for our busker host The Tipsy Toad and many thanks to all the talented participants Mela B, Kevin Thomas Jones, and Annie Boek who made Foodstock a happenin' place to be!
