The countdown for Light Up Bash 2025 is on! 🙌🎉 The excitement begins on 12.31.24 from 7pm-12:30am at Fountain Square. Watch for important updates as we get amped up to ring in the new year in downtown with food, spirits, music, and dancing!

Honor our service men and women with special guests 🇺🇸 on Monday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Somerset Veterans Memorial Park on the corner of Oak and Main St.! SPEDA will spearhead the special unveiling of the park's centerpiece, an M109 American 155MM Howitzer donated through the U.S. Army Donations Program from Camp Johnson in Vermont.

The M109 is an artillery piece that has served in many global conflicts and military engagements, including the Vietnam, Persian Gulf, and Iraq wars.

Downtown Somerset just got sweeter! Sarino’s Sweet Shoppe 🍬🍭 is NOW open inside The Makers Mill on E. Mt. Vernon St. Owners Robert and Elizabeth Cole named the shop after Elizabeth's grandfather Rosario "Sarino" Giarratana, who came to live in the U.S. in 1950 from, Sicily, Italy.

"He always bought the penny candy from the candy stands at the grocery store to hand out for Halloween. One of my favorite memories is going to his house every November 1st to celebrate his birthday and the first thing my sister and I would do was go find the candy, because we knew it was different from anything else we had gotten the night before," Elizabeth said.

The shop offers a wide variety of classic candies and more. Stop in during The Makers Mill's open hours, take a flavorful nostalgic trip down memory lane, and share the experience with friends or family!

We are still glowing with joy from Moonlight Festival 2024! Approximately 7,000 visitors came hungry for entertainment, happily shopped, enjoyed incredible eats, and danced the 🌕🎶🍁 night away!
