The “Rolling Recitals” are back! This Wednesday & Thursday (May 26 & 27), members of the Boston Pops will be teaming up with Old Town Trolley Tours and Boston Duck Tours to share pop-up performances around town.

Last week we started our week with a fast ferry trip to Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod. Known as "P-town" to locals, this beautiful Cape Cod retreat cave accessed by car by its faster to jump on s fast ferry from Boston or Plymouth Harbor. We saw whales breaching, seals and dolphins!

Little bit of history: it was here where the Pilgrims first landed off the Mayflower. The Pilgrims found the soil was too sandy to plant crops so they headed due north and found Plymouth and settled there.

Football season!! Football consumes Americans as soccer (the true football!) draws in the rest of the civilized world. Though there were early starts to this sport it seemed to get a bit of momentum in the 1940's with the Boston Yanks~ a name that might make Red Sox fans shudder. This professional team only lasted 8 years from 1944-1952 and then fizzled. It wasn't until the 70's where it took off again and became a favorite American Past time. ( Pat's time or past time?! 😂).

On this day in 1902, F***y Farmer opened her cooking school in Boston. Ms. Farmer took a different approach to cooking using science and proper measurements but also advocating for healthy food and good nutrition. F***y Farmer was truly a pioneer as a female business owner and chef back in this time.
