What an AMAZING first group for 2023! They came, they saw, they safaried. From sunrise bushwalks to late night starry sky filled game drives, there was nothing they couldn’t tackle. And the wildlife! Wall to wall Kruger put on an amazing show.

One of our favorite camps in Kruger is Olifants. Perched high up on a hill overlooking the Olifants River below, this camp feels more like a medieval fortress with views that stretch all the way to Mozambique. If you’re here, you’re at peace.

What's on our mind? Food! Always. Of the many delicious dishes we've enjoyed on safari, honestly there's nothing like the comfort of bobotie. Warm. Meaty. Full of curried flavor. It's delicious, and definitely a go to on cold winter nights. Try it for yourself and tell us what you think!

This classic dish from South Africa, Bobotie (pronounced ba-bo-tea), is made with ground beef seasoned to perfection and a creamy, decadent topping. It is rich, savory, spicy, aromatic, and zingy. A comforting meal, full of the flavors of Africa!

A perfect combination of Africa's most breathtaking natural splendours with well-deserved luxuries aboard a newly refurbished historic train that's reminiscent of African excellence, Kruger Shalati offers a truly unique safari! Permanently stationed on the historically-rich Selati Bridge above the Sabie River, Kruger Shalati offers unique luxury accommodation in a re-envisioned train that pays homage to the guests who explored the park nearly 100 years ago while welcoming new explorers from near and far. The train marks where the first visits to the iconic park were allowed in the early 1920s, when the train would park overnight in the exact spot where Kruger Shalati is positioned. One of our favorite stops at Mopani Expeditions 💚

Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is deep in the bushveld overlooking a waterhole and an open plain, lies a lodge that pulses to the rhythm of Africa’s heartbeat. This is Bush Lodge, steeped in tradition, vibrant and warm, the Sabi Sabi of “Today”. With a history spanning over 35 years, the lodge has earned a reputation of a “luxury home in the bush”, service excellence and effortless personal attention. To maintain privacy and intimacy, the lodge has 25 suites in total including 2 Luxury Villas and the Mandleve Deluxe Suite with each suite featuring en-suite bathrooms and al-fresco, glass-fronted showers, with wonderful views of the bushveld. Bush Lodge has been sensitively designed to allow ample space to relax, unwind and savour the tranquility of the bush. The two swimming pools and large covered viewing decks overhanging the Msuthlu riverbed are an invitation to cool off in the filtered water or sit in comfort while spotting game at the well-utilised pan. An exquisitely furnished lounge, atrium and intimate bar area are perfect meeting places for friends old and new. At Mopani Expeditions we value commitment to environmental sustainability and share this with our guests.
