Summer summer summertime…. Ooh summertime, time to sit back and unwind.
Are you going away this Summer? Staying local? Traveling? Did you see my story about prices this Summer? Have you noticed this? What do you think about these crazy prices? Fair enough or enough is enough? Honestly, I had sticker shock when I was looking around. But, maybe it is just as simple as supply and demand, but we saw so many places at over $1000 a night, and I just can’t do it. Pay it or charge it 😂
We just had 4 days open in August if you do want to getaway. Our prices are the same as they have always been 🥂🍾

What do you like for hosts to have at an Airbnb? You, know the things they may not think of.
A few weeks ago someone suggested we add water bottles to the cottage, and I was like, “let me find a mint colored one, and done and done”
I never thought of water bottles. I use them ALL the time at home, but never thought of them for the cottage. Here are some other things our guests suggested that I never thought of, but then added..
- A cooler for picnics
- A curling iron
- A blender
- Ramekins (I had to google this)
- a cocktail mixer
- outdoor blankets
- different kinds of chargers (these always get taken though)
- A basket of bathroom things people may have forgotten (toothpaste, sunscreen etc)
We are always trying to add little details, but, we can use help knowing what is helpful! Thanks everyone.

When does it start getting warm where you are? I don’t know about you, but I am ready to jump into Summer and some lazy relaxing pool days.

Same?
After a tiny getaway with good friends, good wine, a lot of laughter and love, and I feel like I can take on the world again.
It is hard to create breaks right now, it is hard to find time with the people we love. Everything is harder. But, it is totally worth it ♥️❤️

I have a question for you. What is the most random reason you have broken it off with someone?
My favorite is one of my best friends broke up with a guy because he said “anyhoo” 😂 My other friend broke up with a guy when he ordered his steak well done on a date. In college, I actually stopped seeing someone because when he was happy or thought something was funny he would snap his fingers, all the time. It wasn’t a tick, he thought it was cool I think. I could handle a tick, but this drove me crazy 😂
What about you? What is the weirdest reason you have broken up with someone?
I am going to send a little Valentines to the ones that make me laugh the most ♥️❤️
I am not a big Valentines person, so I thought it may be fun to turn it on its head a little. Happy February 🤞🏼♥️

I don’t know about you, but I feel hope and see the light at the end of the tunnel. And, I think we can start dreaming and planning of brighter days.

Oh my gosh, we made it. Has the first month of 2020 felt like 200 months? Or has it flown by? Or both?
I would say both, it has felt like a lifetime and it has gone so fast.....but, it is Friday my friends, break out the wine and let’s toast to surviving another week, oh and the first month of 2021 🥂
This week, I had my kids home quarantining and schooling, worked full time, got the cottage all booked up now that Sonoma is open, got my mammogram, got 6 moles removed to be biopsied (and passed out in the process), went to the dentist and got my oil changed in my car.
I do not believe in celebrating busy, but I do believe in celebrating survival. And so, I will be toasting tonight with some good wine. Cheers my friends! ♥️

Our doors are open again! 🙌🏼
In the seesaw that is COVID, we are open again. Does that mean we are up or down? Or we fell off the seesaw? I don’t know, but we are open!

We have loved hosting frontline healthcare workers the past 2 months. It has felt really wonderful to find a small way to say thank you for the work they are doing to protect all of us, and the connections we have made have been really special ❤️
But, we are also so happy that all of our local businesses get to open again, and that we can open our cottage to host folks in Sonoma ❤️♥️❤️ the Winter is just beautiful in Sonoma!
