Yes, there is an actual Bohemian Highway.

The winding two-lane road meanders across ten miles of western Sonoma County, through vineyards, orchards, dairy pastures, redwood groves, and the micro-towns of Occidental, Freestone, and Monte Rio. It crosses the Russian River, which flows lazily – or crazily, depending on the time of year – to the Pacific Ocean. This pastoral stretch of road is one of the most scenic drives you can make in Nort

hern California. But to us, it’s also a state of mind. And Bohemian Highway Travel Company is more than a tour company. It’s a glimpse into the way of life here.
