Everyone ready for our next event?! We are! Here at Chick-fil-A Downey we want to take a day to honor the brave men and women that keep our city safe. Come out for our Local Heroes' Night as we raise funds for the Downey Police and Fire Foundation. The fundraiser will take place all day from when the store opens at 6:30am to when the store closes 10:30pm, so tell friends, family and loved ones that when they order to say, "I'm here for the Local Heroes'" and a portion of the order will be donated to the Foundation. The Local Heroes' Family Night Event will take place at the store from 6:00pm-8:00pm, we look forward to seeing you there!

Our local Businesses show support for our fallen hero Officer Galvez.

A horrible and senseless act was committed late last night against one of Downey's own. Officer Galvez as I respectfully called him was taken far to early and deserved far better. Prayers go out to his family and I want to thank them for giving us this brave man that served his country and community.

A fund has been set up at the Downey Federal Credit Union for Officer Galvez and his family.
