Everyone knows it’s the lionesses that take care of the pack. They are the stars of the show, but more often than not stay in the background and are not given the credit they deserve. I am fortunate to have the pack of lionesses watching my back and helping every step of the way. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and I am beyond grateful. Happy Mother’s Day to you all and to all the lionesses out there.

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to take part in the Guiding 4 the Future program. I spent three days surrounded by professional guides, industry leaders, and genuinely good people. We covered Striped Bass management, science, forage, oceanography, fly casting, ethics, and safety. I cannot say enough about the benefits of this program for new and seasoned guides as well. Anyone want to see a real hack? Well here’s one for you. Not only does this “Captain” go on another captains site and pirate his images, but then he turns around uses that image for an auction! What an absolute shameful act. Jim Dufresne, you should be embarrassed for yourself. Not only did you not catch that fish, or guide the angler, or was even present for the catch of the fish, but you stole a picture of the man’s wife on his boat. What an absolute hack. Kudos to the Sunday River Auction for being understanding for taking down the photo. It is guys like this give the guiding community a bad name. And it is sad that this post even has to be made. On a positive note, if you are looking to catch fish like this and to be guided by a professional, then I highly recommend giving Captain Justin Cooper a call or DM’ing him at .duty.sportfishing .
