Our Story

DeSoto County consists of five cities; Hernando, Horn Lake, Olive Branch, Southaven and Walls. We are located in Northwest Mississippi, just minutes from Memphis, TN, only seven miles from Memphis International Airport and minutes from Tunica, MS. DeSoto County Tourism Visitor Center friendly staff is here to assist with travel information, maps, meeting space and more. You will find over 350 restaurants of all types of cuisines, over 42 hotels, seven unique bed and breakfast inns, RV parks and camping. Four championship golf courses, plus Disc golf, skate parks and more. Meeting venues that can accommodate 10 to 10,000. For shopping there is Tanger Outlets in Southaven, along with numerous retail stores and many boutique to antique shopping throughout the county. We have concerts, festivals, year round sporting events and more.
