Hey there, foodies!

I’m Tori, the founder of Foodie Tours and I wanted to take a moment to say a big hello and introduce myself to all of you amazing people who have joined our community over the past few months! Whether you’ve been with us from the start or are just discovering our tours, I’m so grateful you’re here.

It’s hard to believe that our food tour business is almost two years old!

As a military spouse, I’ve had to adjust to the reality of not living in North Carolina anymore. It’s not easy being away from the town we built our tours around, but I’ve learned that the heart of what we do is not about location — it’s about the amazing community we’ve built together. Thanks to all of you, our tours continue to thrive, and I’m beyond grateful for the support.

It’s been so inspiring to see our guides and guests share a love for local food and culture, and I feel incredibly lucky to run a business that allows me so much creative freedom — even from afar! A huge shoutout to our fantastic guides who make every tour unforgettable, and to all of you who’ve supported us by liking our content, joining our tours, and just being all-around awesome. Also, a huge shoutout to all of our incredible restaurant partners who share their spaces and delicious foods with us!

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. I can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us!

New Orleans stole my heart (and my appetite)! ☕️✨ Started with iconic coffee and beignets at Café du Monde, followed by an unforgettable meal at Galatoire’s with stuffed seafood, gumbo, and roasted chicken 🤤. Got a culture shock (and price shock!) at M.S. Rau 🖼️, but the experience was worth every jaw drop. The WWII museum? Plan to spend all day—so much to see! Later, we sipped tiki drinks at Tiki Tok 🍹 and took on the night with hand grenades (a little too sweet for me 😅) and some late-night bites. Day two was all about coffee at Cross Roads (swamp monster for the win!) and a soulful jazz brunch at Atchafalaya 🎷🍳. NOLA, you’ve got it all! Can’t wait to go back. Plan your own adventure soon!

It’s Oktoberfest Season! We recently took a trip down to Helen, GA to celebrate Oktoberfest! This German themed town offers charm and delicious German foods and beer. Local NC Oktoberfest events in our Foodie Towns include: New Bern Breakfast Rotary- Sept. 28th - 5pm Southern Pines Growler - Sept. 21 & 28, Oct 5th Sandhills Trolley Company - Sept 21 & 27 Other Oktoberfest events in NC Sugar Mountain - October 12th & 13th Kernersville- October 5th Raleigh - many participating breweries throughout the season!

We had a delicious meal at Royal Taj in Southern Pines, connected to the Days Inn the other night. Probably one of the most unique spots in town with their food and location! Our Server, James was very knowledgeable about the menu items and recommended such tasty dishes! Check them out sometime soon! We recommend planning for this meal taking a bit longer than normal meals as most of the food is homemade😍 They are also vegan and gluten free friendly!

Over the weekend we took a tour and tasting of @bhawkdistillery. This new “thing to do” in Moore County is an incredible opportunity to support learn a thing or two about whiskey and support a great mission.
