The Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway has created such a unique experience. With three rooftop bars overlooking the Cradle, a covered bar area, an air-conditioned caboose, and an open patio with cornhole boards, every detail has been thought out to provide the most amount of fun!
Engine Room 87 is open to the public with no cover charge: Wednesdays-Saturdays from 4:00-8:00pm and Sundays from 1:00-6:00pm. You can also rent Engine Room 87 for private or corporate parties.

Great Trails State Day Pottery Pinecones
To celebrate Great Trails State Day in North Carolina, we partnered with Crystal King Pottery to create 30 pottery pinecones which will be hidden along select Moore County trails on Saturday, October 19.
These “Crystal Cones” are all handmade and created by Crystal King. Each pinecone will be individually stamped by King and dated for authenticity. On October 18, we'll announce the trails where the pinecones will be hidden so hunters can prepare for the hunt on Great Trails Day, October 19.
Each pottery pinecone will display a special tag with a QR code, so finders can register their pinecone and be eligible for a drawing to win a $250 gift card!

Who's joining us for the fourth annual Pinehurst Barbecue Festival this weekend?! Multiple events over three days will be capped off with the Christopher Prieto Invitational on Sunday, September 1. Shakespeare in the Pines
Come with us to downtown Pinehurst for Shakespeare in the Pines, an annual Shakespeare festival. Each summer, the Uprising Theatre Company produces a different Shakespeare play amidst the pines and under the stars at Tufts Memorial Park.
General admission is FREE and families are encouraged to attend. Be sure to bring a blanket or chairs for comfortable seating on the lawn. Or, you can purchase a VIP table, which comes with candles, wine, and charcuterie.
This year’s production is The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare’s first comedy, with a Pinehurst twist.

Fine Arts Festival in Southern Pines, NC
Come with us to the Campbell House in Southern Pines, home of the Arts Council of Moore County. We’re going to check out the Fine Arts Festival, an annual tradition since 1980.
The festival has grown from a showcase for local artists into a major exhibit featuring artwork by artists from all over the country. The event includes an art competition, with cash prizes and ribbons. There’s also a People’s Choice award, so make sure to vote for your favorite!
The exhibit is FREE and open to the public on weekdays through August 28 from 10:00am-5:00pm. You can also come see it on Saturday, August 17 from 12:00pm-4:00pm.
