The story is…… I, me, Eddy arrived at The Salthouse and noticed our family picture was a little crooked hanging on the wall! I went to straighten it and noticed the picture was not of our family at all ….but rather of an unknown family on the beach in Southern Shores all with flippin’ OBX shirts on! I said to my self “well butter my biscuit!”…… and a few other choice words! But then I had a long chuckle and relished in the ingenious idea and thorough ex*****on of the devious task! This was a spectacular demonstration of clever creativity even more so than I could have exerted myself and I became immediately jealous! I can’t believe I didn’t think of doing something like this first! I shared this with my wife in my own clever way and we laughed! I have lived another day to be totally surprised! I love life’s surprises. I took the picture out to find their “Thanks!” on the back. Great job Pelc and Thomas Families! ….. whoever and wherever the hell you are! You guys rock and will go down in history at The Kitchen’s Salthouse OBX! Thanks for the kind message in our guest notebook as well!

The Kitchen’s Salt House was an excellent find! It accommodated our group of 10 very comfortably and location and amenities were wonderful. Kids and adults all had a blast and we were able to enjoy quality family time together. The fire-pit, kayaking, fishing and beach yard on property were hits for all. Would definitely return and recommend.

Our guests ask us all the time for recommendations of restaurants so I thought I would share one of our favorites in this post. The Bluepoint Restaurant is one of our favorites at 1240 Duck Rd. in Duck, NC sitting right on the sound. It’s nestled along with other shops and has a back bar for watching the sunset.. The fresh seafood and simple yet tasty dishes you can always count on! The view speaks for itself. Enjoy!
