Toys and food!

At our annual holiday event last week our members donated toys and food.

The food went to the new Benjamin E Mays Family Resource Center in Pacolet, SC. Just in time for their holiday meal this week. It was so lovely getting a tour and to meet Jerry Rice, Executive Director!

The toys went to the Upstate Family Resource Center in Boiling Springs.

We're thankful for our members and how they helped us make a small impact this holiday season.

So many relevant topics were covered in a comprehensible way that attendees will be able to take back to their organizations for discussion. We appreciate everyone that came out yesterday to hear these updates.

A BIG shout of thanks to our members and guests at the holiday event last week. You came with BIG hearts and donated so many food items and toys.

All items went to the Upstate Family Resource Center in Spartanburg. Our timing was perfect as they open the "store" on Wednesday. This store is open to parents, who need a little extra help from Santa, to come and "shop" and fill a Santa sack for gifts for their children.

The staff at UFRC were thrilled!! Judy Dodd and Carolyn Wilson even gave a tour of the "store."

Thank you for your huge hearts. Your donations will make an impact this holiday season!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month next month, we are partnering with the Gibbs Cancer Center and Spartanburg Regional to create a special evening to honor those who've battled cancer.

Our families AND our employees have been impacted by cancer. Now we have an opportunity, as HR Professionals, to learn more and to gain a deeper perspective by hearing directly from two doctors specializing in Oncology. You will hear from Dr. Amy Curtis and Dr. Steven Corso.

A hearty thank you to Spartanburg Regional for hosting and sponsoring this event.

Sometimes workplace safety matters are obvious . . .sometimes not! Our partners from Life and Safety Consultants are going to share with us things that we probably should know, but don't know in the world of OSHA.

We will discuss OSHA's current top 10, remote worker safety requirements as well as training in our distributed workforce. Life and Safety will give us a peek into completing safety inspections both on location and remotely.

We are all responsible for safety in our workplace!
