Only in Texas!

When the wildflowers are tall and the longhorns are small.

I can't believe it has been 17 years since I happened upon these miniature longhorns in Kerr County. I went out on a hunch and a tip to scout a route north and west of Kerrville. The route is in my eBook in the Other Nearby Locations section for Mason County. This route over the years has consistently produced blooms of mealy blue sage, purple horsemint, firewheels and yellow prickly pear wildflowers. I don't know if the miniature longhorns are still there, but the conditions are right for another potential super bloom along that route. 2017 was unbelievable. I will post a few photos from that year later.
