Legacy Tours: Birding in Mexico and Beyond

Legacy Tours: Birding in Mexico and Beyond Michael Carmody/Legacy Tours guides serious birders in Mexico. He has guided birders for endemic species in Mexico full-time since 1992.

Birding is a serious hobby. In a country as unique as Mexico - 1,000 species of birds, 100 Mexico-only endemics - detailed planned and focused ex*****on is required to avoid leaving pockets of unobserved birds throughout the country. Seeing Mexico's endemic birds requires several trips, but the key is planning those trips by season and route as to limit the number of birds that are 'missed'... Leg

acy Tours/Michael Carmody will always use client's time to the optimum advantage in reaching personal goals/targets. There is a 'best way' to approach birding in Mexico, and Legacy Tours/Michael Carmody makes the very most of a client's time while in the country. Michael has seen 1,032 species of birds in Mexico during over forty years of birding in the country. He has guided hundreds of clients, and over 200 tours, in Mexico during the past twenty-five years of full-time guiding for birders... Legacy Tours is simply the best option for birders when considering Mexico.

The UK Birdfair took place last weekend in Rutland, England. What a great experience... lots of wonderful contacts, both birders and touring companies, and simply a marvelous opportunity to enjoy the English countryside while at its best! I have posted a photo of the Legacy Tours booth... a presenter from a neighboring stand asked the secret for having continual activity at the booth all three days of the fair. My reply; "...really great friends in England, top birders interested in our programs, and 30 years of personal discovery concerning the birds of Mexico."

Where else in the world can one see on the mainland 50 endemic species of birds while covering just 200 miles? The route has, depending on season, between 300-400 possible species, of which one in every 6-8 are found no where else in the world! Since it's re-discovery in 1989 the Short-crested Coquette has been seen by less that 200 birders; 175 and of whom have been standing next to Michael Carmody...
