Today's hot spot - the AbracadaBar at Disney's Boardwalk Resort Hotel! An aesthetic little spot to escape the rain or the heat and grab a classy cocktail, and marvel at the vintage collection of art and magic.

WDW Resort Wednesday: Today we highlight our favorite resort - Animal Kingdom Lodge!

I've already shared quite a bit about this resort, but that is because we just can't get enough of it! From the view of 4 different savanna's, to multiple world class dining options, to one of the largest collections of African Art - this resort really lets you experience life on safari.

Travel Tip Tuesday: Give yourself time to explore Disney Springs! Especially for those of us used to Downtown Disney at Disneyland, make sure to plan some time to explore this massive area with tons of shopping, places to eat and drink, entertainment, and activities!

Here are two of our favorite spots we discovered on our last trip - Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar for late night snacks and drinks on the night we flew in, and the Boathouse for a light brunch before we flew out on our last day!

Let's talk Universal Express Pass!!

We have done Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with and without the express pass, and have decided that for people like us - who really like to only spend one or two days at Universal it is 100% worth it!

Universal is a resort we like to crush rides in, and the Express pass allows us to get the most bang for our buck, and hit as many rides as possible in a short amount of time.

Did you know that booking at participating resorts (Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, Portofino) offers a complimentary express pass as part of your package? We will typically stay one or two nights at one of these hotels at the beginning or end of our trip, so that we can utilize this huge perk!

Thirsty Thursday! The day where I recommend one of our favorite places to grab a drink at Walt Disney World Resort (or in this week's case - Universal Orlando!)

Did you know you can get a boozy butterbeer by going to the Hogs Head Pub in the back of the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmead? Just ask for a shot of your favorite liquor (we liked it with Whiskey the best!) for an extra kick, and to tone down the sweetness of the drink! Cheers!

This week is all about Universal - so we are switching up our WDW Resort Wednesday to highlight our favorite Universal Orlando Resort - The Loews Royal Pacific Resort!

We stayed at the Royal Pacific during our trip last July, and are heading back next month with friends because we enjoyed it so much!

The Royal Pacific is not only beautiful, with great rooms, pools, and dining, but it is WALKING distance to the entry gate of Islands of Adventure, making rope drop so fun and easy! They have a private security gate to get into the Universal Parks, so you can skip long waits and crowds, and make sure you're first in line for Hagrids or Velocicoaster. 10/10 Recommend staying here!

Travel Tip Tuesday - Universal Studios Islands of Adventure: Which Attraction to Rope Drop.... Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, or Velocicoaster?

While both of these coasters are tons of fun, and will have long waits throughout the day (express pass won't help you here), we recommend Rope Dropping Hagrid's and here's why!

Velocicoaster, though newer, will typically have a shorter wait throughout the day than Hagrid's. Because of the intensity of Velocicoaster, many younger, or not as adventurous riders will shy away from its high speeds, towering drops, and overall intensity. Hagrid's is much more doable for riders of all ages and adventure levels, so will typically see longer lines consistently throughout the day.

We recommend rope dropping Hagrid's and then hustling over to Velocicoaster before crowds reach their peak for the day!

Did you know you can get this classic Frozen Beer (from EPCOT's Japan Pavilion) in Disney Springs as well? Head over to YeSake by Mitsukoshi, a small walk up dining location specializing in Japanese street food to grab this Kirin draft beer topped with frozen Kirin on top!

WDW Resort Wednesday: Disney's Riviera Resort, literally one of the most beautiful resorts we have seen, this enchanting, high end, resort really helps you escape the hustle and bustle of the parks, while keeping the magic of Disney alive.

WDW's newest resort, the Riviera pairs the elegance of European travel, with the magic of Disney. Home of one of the most popular dining spots, Topolino's Terrace, and directly on the Skyliner transportation route, the Riviera is a must see (or stay!) on your next trip!

Travel Tip Tuesday: Prepare for the Rain!!

Especially in the summer, it is almost guaranteed to rain at some point during your trip - most likely at least once a day! Plan ahead by bringing a quick dry rain jacket, or disposable ponchos so you can brave the rain and get from place to place without getting soaked.

We also like to take advantage of the rain to pop into new dining spots or bars to try something new! Don't let the rain get you down, use it to your advantage to slow down and do something you wouldn't otherwise do!

Today's recommendation: the infamous Smoked Turkey from Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Anyone who knows my husband Matt knows this is his all time favorite drink - so much so that he couldn't even wait to take a picture before downing half of it! Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of our favorite resorts to take a break at for a meal and a cocktail, while still being immersed in Disney magic!

WDW Resort Wednesday: The Polynesian Village Resort - celebrating the spirit of the South Pacific, this deluxe resort is right on the Magic Kingdom Monorail making it one of the top resorts for getting to the park early, and having a beautiful oasis to return to at the end of the night or when you need a break.

The beach and the over-water bungalows face the Magic Kingdom so you can watch the fireworks from the comfort of your room. Enjoy one of the many island inspired dining and drink locations, and even use the walking path to visit the grand Floridian next door!

Today I'll be starting a new Wednesday series called WDW Resort Wednesday - where every Wednesday I'll high light a different resort at Walt Disney World, and why you should consider staying there on your next trip!

Being from the Northwest, I of course have to start with Wilderness Lodge!

Inspired by National Park Lodges and highlighting aspects of the great Northwest, Wilderness Lodge certainly makes me feel right at home. Between the nature trails throughout the property, PNW inspired quick service and table service dining, and more, I highly recommend any of my Northwest Friends to check out Wilderness Lodge next time you head to WDW!

Booking Disney can be intimidating - especially for first timers. When you trust me to help you book your vacation my goal is to make it as easy for you as possible! Here's a little bit about my process:

First I'll send you a few specially made info-graphics specific to your trip that break down all of the lingo for you, so you can start to think about your timeline, budget, and highest priorities of your trip (here's an example that explains the difference between a "base" ticket and a "park hopper").

Next, you'll fill out a short google form to let me know a few parameters about your trip. From there we can chat on the phone, meet via teams/zoom, or email/text to start putting together a few packages for you to compare.

Why spend time researching when you can let an expert do it for you, at no additional cost!

Wrapping up our week of fun facts, with the most important fun fact of them all - my favorite Disney Travel Partner!

My husband Matt and I first went to Disney World together for our honeymoon in 2016. Since then we have been back to either WDW or Disneyland (or both!) almost every year of our marriage. Matt is who got me hooked on Disney, and now we love sharing that passion with other members of our families, our cheer team, and our friends.

Happy Hump Day everyone! We will keep today's fun fact about me short and sweet - my favorite Disney Treat!

My favorite Disney Treat of all time is the ice cream martini from L'Artisan des Glaces at the France Pavilion in EPCOT. Does it get better than two scoops of your favorite ice cream or sorbet paired with rum, Grand Marneir, or whipped cream vodka? I don't think so!

Happy Tuesday Y'all! I already shared about my favorite park... but my favorite resort goes right along with it... Have any of you ever stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge??

Not only is the theming of this resort absolutely amazing, if you book a Savana View room you can wake up and sip your coffee while the Giraffes come and say hi to you at your balcony!

Animal Kingdom Lodge is also home to my favorite on property restaurant - Sanaa, known for its famous bread service, and my husband's favorite drink - the Smoked Turkey! All of the food and drink options at Animal Kingdom Lodge are mouth watering, you really can't go wrong with any option!

Happy Sunday y'all! Don't let the Sunday Scaries get you - we're back for fun fact number 3 - my favorite Park!

Now, keep in mind we have yet to travel to Tokyo Disney so this might change next summer... but to date, my favorite park is none other than Animal Kingdom!

Animal Kingdom is beautiful, relaxing, fun, and immersive. The theming is out of this world (literally - have you been to Pandora?!), the attractions are super exciting, and it's filled with Animals, all with the focus of wildlife conservation - some of my favorite things!

I could seriously spend DAYS in Animal Kingdom! What is your favorite Disney Park??

Today's fun fact is all about my favorite attraction! Choosing a favorite is next to impossible, and each park has something that I love almost as much as the next - but when it comes down to it, my all time favorite attraction is Big Thunder Mountain (specifically Disneyland's version).

My husband and I always either start or end our trip with a ride on Big Thunder (most times both!) - and it is the quintessential "perfect" attraction. The theming, story, and attention to detail are all there, and its just down right fun for everyone!

This was the first roller coaster my niece ever had a good time on, one of my nephew's favorites, the only roller coaster my mother in law will ride, and one of the only attractions we can fit my WHOLE cheer team (20+ athletes) on all together! Not to mention it's the wildest ride in the wilderness!
