Real talk. Get the travel insurance. I don’t care if it’s through me, the tour/cruise company, or something you source on your own. Your vacation is an investment worth protecting.

We were supposed to be in Alaska this past weekend. Sleeping in an igloo under the aurora borealis. But an emergency surgery sidelined our travel plans (everyone is okay). Getting our money back is a nice consolation prize.

It’s been a minute since my weekend getaway with Celebrity! Here’s my takeaway:

•Beautiful ship
•great staff (loved the evening turndown service),
•buffet food was solid, main dining room food was pretty good but the specialty restaurants really were top notch!
•real grass on the Lawn Club was an elevated touch
•the fresh smoothies in the Solarium were the perfect little gift to my body during a weekend of abuse (shut up, liver. You’re fine)
•kids clubs were large and had tons of amenities
•plenty of activities both chill and late night dancing

Royal Caribbean is offering the Kids Sail Free promo for 2025 summer sailings to Alaska! This is big news because summer is always blocked from that promo! Right now I could book a family of 4 in a balcony cabin, on Anthem of the Seas, leaving June 13th, 2025 for $4623.68!!
