Themed Christmas trees and gifts create holiday memories and raise funds for the Spokane Symphony. Raffle tickets may be purchased at a cost of $1 per ticket.

Viewing of the Christmas Tree Elegance decorated trees at The Historic Davenport Hotel and River Park Square is free. At the end of the viewing period, the trees are raffled off (along with the gifts associated with each tree). The dates for 2021 are Nov.30- Dec.12. Winning tickets will be drawn on Dec.12 at both venues. The hours for ticket sales at the Davenport Hotel are 10 am to 9 pm and during mall hours at River Park Square.

Upscale Sale is Spokane Symphony Associates gigantic estate sale with almost 12,000 square feet of treasures. It opens Thursday, May 30, with the First Choice Sale where $5 gives you just that. This year it is located at the previous Rite Aid at the Y, 9120 N. Division.

Newcomers who came to check out the Christmas Tree Elegance participation opportunities at Monday's meeting include Sandra Riegle, Joshi Latkowski, Colleen Sims, Barb Davisson and Ron Goold. Another group of new folks were already talking about a theme for their tree. They are Annie Genthe, Cassey Palmer, Bethany Freeland and Holly Finnoe.

Doug and Gail Belanger shared that their theme this year was going to be "Giddy Up, Giddy Up, Giddy Up Leggo!" They have been creating trees that appeal to kids for years and this looks like another.

Last night, March 4, the Christmas Tree Elegance Tree Team "Kick Off" was held and folks interested in being a part of the 2024 teams were invited to join some of the veteran team leaders to learn about opportunities to be a part of this great event. Elizabeth Raol and Tina Craig, long-time tree team leaders, share with Sandra Riegle who came to check out being on a team.

The trees this year are especially beautiful and the gifts are fabulous. On Friday and Saturday tickets are on sale at the mall until 8 pm and 9 pm at the hotel. Sunday ticket sales end at 4 pm.
