My first visit to Walt Disney World was with my family when I was 10 years old, and I have visited many times since. As an adult I've fallen in love with planning our family Disney trips. My husband and I began visiting together on our honeymoon and we have had several family t

Walt Disney World Resort:
THEME PARKS
💫On Oct. 9, theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.
💫Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.
💫Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. Disney will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.
***This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Cruise Line:
💫Disney Cruise Line is closely monitoring Hurricane Milton and will notify Guests of operational updates, as needed.

Starting July 24, Walt Disney World is introducing new, simpler names for these services:
-Disney Genie+ will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass
-Individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass

Here's what you can look forward to:

🚀 Plan Ahead with Confidence:
Lightning Lane Multi Pass: Make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park in advance, choosing your times as you go. On the day of your visit, once you've used a selection, check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make additional selections.
Lightning Lane Single Pass: Secure a time to ride one of the most popular attractions in advance, giving you peace of mind.

🗓️ Advance Planning Windows:
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel or select hotels can plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance for their entire stay (up to 14 days).
All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance.

🎟️ Simplified Booking:
Purchase and plan your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass in one easy transaction.
Enjoy fewer steps in the My Disney Experience app, making it quicker and easier to purchase and plan your Disney adventure.
These updates blend the best features from the current services and the beloved FastPass+ service, giving you more control and reducing the need for in-the-moment planning.
