Starting this Saturday, December 7th at noon, our holiday show will be on display. Come immerse yourself in our themed floral show with the story its tells and the beautiful plants that are on display. Seek our hidden surprises amongst the scenery.

The show will be open every day from 12-4p(Mon-Fri) and 12-5p(Sat-Sun) until December 22nd.

This is a free event to enjoy from the Springfield Park District, we hope you join us in celebrating the season.

The Prairie State Orchid Society is hosting a plant sale with a guest speaker in our Exhibit Hall. On Saturday, November 2nd there will be orchids for sale from 10a-2p. Then from 2-3p guest speaker, Dr. Lawrence Zettler will talk all about some rare orchids he has encountered in his studies around the world. Come grab a new plant and learn some interesting things about orchids you may not know yet.

On October 26th the Garden will have hosts Tom Gephart and Kent Weil for a morning Orchid Repotting Workshop. From 10a-2p you can bring your orchids to repot for at a nominal cost while learning all about orchids so you can care for them and watch for pest and disease. This is an open house styled event so come and go as you please.

Join us for two days of pumpkin-carving fun at the Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon! Help us prep for the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular by carving pumpkins that will light up the grounds of Washington Park Botanical Garden.

Come have a spooky time with the park district!

Join us for a spooky adventure at the park!

We will have five different Halloween - Scavenger Hunts available at the following parks: Washington Park, Lincoln Park, Southwind Park, Stuart Park, and Kiwanis Park.

Get ready for a day filled with goblins, ghouls, and a dash of mystery. Our Halloween Park Scavenger Hunt is the perfect way to discover ghostly clues in the great outdoors!

Takes place October 4th from 9am to 5pm.

How it works:
- First join the Halloween Park Scavenger Hunt Event Page on the Springfield Park District page.
- Clue unveiling: You will receive your first clue that will set you on a spooky trail of adventure within the Halloween Park Scavenger Hunt Event Page for each park at 9 a.m. on October 4th.
- Explore the Park: Each Parkโ€™s Halloween Scavenger Hunt follows four clues scattered around the park to discover hidden treasures and chilling surprises.
- Teamwork: Work together with your partner or group to solve puzzles and conquer challenges.
- Final destination: Reach the final pumpkin in the park for a special Halloween surprise.
- Once you have reached the final fourth pumpkin, there will be instructions for a special chance to win exciting prizes!

What to Bring:
Comfortable shoes, a fully charged phone or camera, and your sense of adventure.

Donโ€™t miss out on this unforgettable Halloween experience.
