We knew you'd show up, Springfield, AND YOU DID. ๐Ÿคฉ

What a night at Springfield's The BLOCK Party. So many of you showed up to celebrate the Springfield Chamber of Commerce's 75th anniversary, chat with our staff and volunteers, and of course, write your messages for our time capsule project, and/or on the wall during our live mural sponsorship. We had a blast partying with all of you on the BLOCK! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽ‰

Thank you to Bayne Gardner for the breathtaking mural, Ben at Common Bond for the organization, Emerald Art Center for letting us paint your wall, Chambers Construction and Papรฉ Machinery for the donation of the scissor lift, all of our amazing volunteers, and all the partygoers for contributing to the legacy that is downtown Springfield. When we work together, we can make beautiful things. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿฅฐ

Cheers to the VOLUNTEERS! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅฐ

Last Thursday, we celebrated the many, many volunteers who give selflessly to the community by donating their precious time and efforts to our programs, causes, and events. Without these selfless individuals, there would be no Chamber to represent the business and community interests in our area. ๐Ÿ’ผ

And what says "thank you" at a Volunteer Appreciation Party better than a flash mob and some shave ice on a hot day? Many thanks to SweetBay Shave Ice and Thrill The World EUG for the entertainment and cool treats on a hot day in downtown Springfield. ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ˜Ž

From all of us at the Chamber, a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅฐ

A fascinating discussion at yesterdayโ€™s Chamber Roundtable program, the first installment of our Summer Roundtable Series: The Life Cycle of a Pothole. ๐Ÿ›ค๏ธ This program was Part 1: Manufacturing the Tools of Trade. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The program featured a presentation by Avril Watt and Ryan Weaver from Astec Industries, Inc., a heavy equipment manufacturer that locally makes rock crushers and screens. The discussion unveiled the intricate process of manufacturing this equipment, which is crucial in the first steps of road construction and maintenance, and the complexities and challenges around supply chains, workforce, and the regulatory landscapes in the industrial sector. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

After the Q&A, attendees had a chance to look at an actual piece of equipment, learning more about the process and these powerful machines.

Thanks to everyone who attended! ๐Ÿ™Œ Stay tuned for a full recap of this event in The Bottom Line.
