Did you know Santa lives (and retired from) the City of Springfield, TN - Government? Don Osborne, along with his wife Tanna, bring holiday magic to life as Santa and Mrs. Claus, or as they’re affectionately known—the Clausbornes! Inspired by their son, this name reflects the warmth and joy they bring to our community each season.

For Don, putting on the red suit is more than just playing a role. As dedicated members of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas, he and Tanna have trained with the best in the field and look forward to one day attending the renowned C.W. Howard School of Santas in Michigan. Through their work, Don and Tanna make every holiday a memorable experience.

We’re grateful to have someone as passionate as Don spreading joy within our community!

The Clausbornes will be at Knotted Co. this Saturday, November 23rd. You can follow them on Facebook for more details and stay up to date on their holiday plans.

The Springfield Square is bustling this time of year, and we love to see it! What's most interesting is the amount of businesses that have opened within the last 18-24 months, notated with a * next to their name. And of course, we have many wonderful originals here who have carved the path for new businesses to come in!

☕ ROBCO COFFEE SHOP TOUR ROUNDUP ☕

The holidays can be a busy time, but don't worry! Robertson County has you covered when it comes to getting the caffeine you need to get through the hustle and bustle.

Here's just a few of our favorite coffee shops:

Deja Moo Creamery & Coffee Co. has locations in both Springfield and White House. From delicious coffees to ice cream to lunches, you can't beat it.

Authentic Coffee Company is another local favorite. Not only do they have delicious coffee and food, they also have Blue Grass playing live occasionally too! Be sure to check out their page for their live music schedule.

Historic Perk located in the heart of downtown Springfield, this coffee shop has quickly become a staple to the community. They roast their own beans, and serve up some great snacks and lunches, too!

KOFEE BROZ LLC was started by a student still in college, and is now one of the top coffee shops in Springfield. They not only have creative coffees and milkshakes, they also have a ton of baked goods and meals for the busy person on the go, too.

Cafe 31 in White House is another great stop for some delicious caffeine. Be sure to grab a latte while on your way to shop and mingle in White House!

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is a relatively new coffee shop in White House serving up delicious lattes, teas and more. Definitely check them out and welcome them to the community!

Golly G's Ice Cream in Greenbrier serves up flavor-packed coffee creations and is famous for their giant cinnamon rolls that pair perfectly with any coffee choice. It’s a must-try treat!

The Storybook Cottage offers unique, literary-themed coffee specials and a lovely selection of teas in Greenbrier. It’s the perfect cozy spot for book lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike.

Who else are we missing? Let us know where you get your caffeine fix in the comments below!

Time to get a head start on that holiday shopping, and we're here to help! Every few days, we'll give you a new shopping guide from a sweet little Robertson County city or town just waiting for you to explore. This week, let's start with Cedar Hill and Adams!

First, grab some yummy holiday goods from Shade Tree Farm and Orchard (check their hours for their Christmas special!), then stop by Head's Farm for delicious produce, baked goods, wrought iron for the garden and other fun and yummy local and regional food and snacks. And for meat, you can't beat Bellhollow Beef (their gorgeous farm is pictured here).

All that shopping will likely make you hungry again, and we have just the fix. Check out Moss's Coach House Restaurant or Adams Station for the most delicious home-cooked meals you've ever had.

And that, my friends, is a fun little day in Cedar Hill and Adams. Where else should you stop in those two towns? Be sure to put your suggestions below so folks not familiar with the area can enjoy them!

The Christmas Sampler is here! For years, this beloved tradition has brought us together, with proceeds going to preserve the historic Glenn Memorial Home.

Built in 1902 by Mollie and Neel Glenn, the Glenn Memorial Home has been a cherished landmark in Springfield for over a century. Mollie, left the house to serve as the Glenn Memorial Library and Woman’s Club after her passing. Today, it stands as a testament to her legacy, with proceeds from the Christmas Sampler ensuring its upkeep for future generations.

Come out today and tomorrow to enjoy all of the unique arts, crafts, baked goods, jewelry, and more while supporting the preservation of this beautiful piece of Springfield history.

Tickets are available at the door, $10 for two-day access or $5 for Saturday only.
We’ll see you at The Center in Springfield!

Have you ever taken a stroll down Jail Alley? Tucked away in the heart of downtown Springfield, Jail Alley holds a unique piece of Robertson County’s past. This historic pathway was once a link between the old jail on Willow Street and the courthouse. Escorted by deputies, inmates walked this alley for court hearings. Attorneys also used it to walk from their offices on the square to the jail to meet with their incarcerated clients. Today, Jail Alley stands as a quiet reminder of Robertson County's rich history, linking the past to the present for all who visit. Next time you’re in town, make sure to take a walk down Jail Alley.

As autumn settles in and a chill creeps through the air, the shadows of Springfield’s past seem to come alive... Ghostly echoes of days gone by whisper through the streets, and some say the former residents of these old homes have never truly moved on. So, grab a warm drink from Historic Perk, bundle up, and take a walk through the haunted history of Robertson County. (Please note: these are private residences, and while their owners are happy to share each home's story with us, please keep your strolling firmly on the sidewalk!)

Glenn Memorial Women’s Club

This beautiful Colonial Revival home has a history—and perhaps a little mystery—woven into its walls. Built in the early 1900s by Mollie and Neil Glenn, this elegant space has been a gathering spot for Springfield’s socialite women. It has been well preserved by the women’s club that often meets there for lunches, charity work, and for planning the beloved annual Christmas Sampler. Members of the club have reported footsteps upstairs, lights flickering with no explanation, and the infamous curtains that never seem to stay closed. No matter how many times they are drawn, they always mysteriously reopen.

Whether Mollie is simply watching over her beloved home or playfully reminding visitors that she’s still around, the Glenn Memorial Women’s Club continues to be a cherished gathering place, just as she envisioned.

Our Story

SMOKE, SPIRIT & SOIL: Experience Robertson County

Just thirty minutes north of Nashville lay the rolling hills and charming small towns of Robertson County. The landscape itself invites you to sit back, breathe deeply, and savor the pace and peace of small town America. The legends hidden in the hills and caves draw visitors curious about the tales of the Bell Witch, America's most famous spirit. Tour the Bell Witch Cave or experience the story yourself during the Bell Witch Fall Festival, both in Adams, TN. In late summer, a fragrant smoke settles over the fields of the county as to***co farmers begin the process of smoking their crop in hundred year old barns, producing our world famous Dark Fired To***co. The area is loaded with history and culture, delicious food and drink, and opportunities for the whole family to enjoy true Southern Hospitality.
