Did you know the "I have a dream." speech was improvised? According to BBC News, a gospel singer Mahalia Jackson shouted: "Tell them about the dream, Martin!" halfway through Dr. King's speech in 1963. The call-out prompted King to pivot to a previous sermon he'd delivered, where he described a version of the American Dream that was equal and accessible to all citizens.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today," Dr King said.

Today, we are thankful for the vision, endurance, and courage of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!

Each of our 11 city's have businesses as unique as those areas and some of these businesses have very deep roots. Check out this ad from Stewart Williams Furniture from 1991. Their history dates well beyond the '90s. Opened in 1923 and still going strong in 2025, Stewart Williams celebrated 100 years in business back in 2023.

Institutions with a long-standing presence, such as Stewart Williams, prove to be invaluable partners in community gatherings. They were instrumental in providing a space for events hosted with Gateway STEM Center and Real Springfield, TN, such as the solar eclipse viewing party. Our Story

SMOKE, SPIRIT & SOIL: Experience Robertson County

Just thirty minutes north of Nashville lay the rolling hills and charming small towns of Robertson County. The landscape itself invites you to sit back, breathe deeply, and savor the pace and peace of small town America. The legends hidden in the hills and caves draw visitors curious about the tales of the Bell Witch, America's most famous spirit. Tour the Bell Witch Cave or experience the story yourself during the Bell Witch Fall Festival, both in Adams, TN. In late summer, a fragrant smoke settles over the fields of the county as to***co farmers begin the process of smoking their crop in hundred year old barns, producing our world famous Dark Fired To***co. The area is loaded with history and culture, delicious food and drink, and opportunities for the whole family to enjoy true Southern Hospitality.
