As Sanford Parks and Rec follow the Sanford School Schedule, Matt Nelson has cancelled all activities from 7pm on for this evening due to the storm. No Adult/SHS Student Volleyball at Pride Elementary from 7-9pm and No Adult Basketball at the Mem. Gym from 7-9pm. See everyone next week!

SANFORD — The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band, renowned worldwide for over 60 years, brings their exceptional musicianship to the Sanford Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. This distinguished group of more than 40 professional Airmen-musicians performs a diverse repertoire, including orchestral classics, Broadway hits, and patriotic favorites.

Through the universal language of music, they perform to instill patriotism, build partnerships, and enhance the reputation of the Air Force and the United States. Their performances honor the contributions of veterans and demonstrate American values to the world. Honor our veterans and values with your attendance at this much-anticipated concert.

Grand Opening Day at Meeting Grounds Cafe

The Sanford /Springvale Chamber Ambassador Committee welcomes family owner/operators Ed and Carie McMahon at their grand opening at 489 Main Street Suite #1 in Springvale Village. Meeting Grounds Cafe menu offers hot and iced coffee, breakfast sandwiches, bakery items, soup, salads and lunch sandwiches. Breakfast and brunch Executive Chef Patrick Miller makes many of the menu items in house including cinnamon buns, maple pecan rolls, house pickles, and house chips made from green thumb potatoes from Fryburg, Me. Along with many meat smoked dressings and house smoked turkey the choices are awesome. Also room for hosting your next work meeting. 'Victorian Nutcracker' in Sanford this Saturday

SANFORD — Now a cherished tradition in SPAC’s holiday lineup, Portland Ballet returns with its beloved classic, “A Victorian Nutcracker”. This enchanting performance offers a fresh retelling of the timeless story, where a young girl’s Christmas Eve dream is sparked by a mysterious nutcracker gift, leading her on a magical journey to the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Land of the Sweets.

This year watch for 2022 Sanford High School graduate Camille Alipalo as the Ribbon Candy soloist and a Flowers Demi-soloist and the corp for Snow. She returns to her hometown of Sanford in her seventh season with Portland Ballet; she is also a junior at the University of Southern Maine. Unique to the traditional holiday ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, Portland Ballet's version features the first act set in the historic Victoria Mansion, with characters drawn from Portland’s own past. Praised for its stunning set designs and costumes that capture the elegance of the Victorian era, the production also boasts vibrant staging that brings battle scenes, snow-scapes, and the Land of Sweets to life. Portland Ballet is renowned for its artistically trained dancers, community engagement, and significant role in enriching Maine’s cultural scene.
