It has been a lovely two days in Katherine walking memory lane (grew up here).
The Low Level is gorgeous but now no swimming due to 🐊, such a shame. We booked the 2 gorge 2 hour tour at Nitmiluk. It was beautiful but would have been great if we could have swam for 20mins in the Croc free second gorge.
Next time we will book the kayaks on the 2nd gorge to swim and take our time.
A visit to the Katherine hot springs is a must, come early to have breakfast at Pop Rocket Cafe first, I recommend the Spicy Breakfast Bao Bun.
Earlier in the day the water is crystal clear and not as many people.
We even checked out the new Ghan rail station, what a way to explore the Centre.

A lovely morning visiting the F***y Bay rocks in Darwin before starting our 300km drive to Katherine.
We stopped at Edith falls for lunch and a swim. So nice to have some fresh water holes without Saltwater Crocodiles 🐊

Had the best family tourist day in Darwin.
We started at the Fish Feeding , which the kids loved and stayed the hour.

Then go the MAGNT museum to see Sweetheart the crocodile, kids found the Cyclone Tracey display really interesting.

Lunch at Cullen Bay then onto the Darwin Waterfront for a swim in the Lagoon and wave pool.
Finishing the day with a cold beer on the Wharf and Greek for dinner.

We are staying at the Novotel Darwin CBD, we have the 2 room apartment for a good price in Darwin. Hotel is a bit dated but OK for the price and well located. Next time I will book accommodation at the Darwin Waterfront - great restaurants and close to town. (Mindel Beach Casino Closed during our stay)

Perfect sunset tonight in Darwin.
Plane was full, but Darwin quiet compared to this time of year normally.
Looking forward to seeing the sights and great food.

Took an extra 20min to pass through border security in Darwin. Only transit in Alice Springs, border forms required at final destination, Darwin.

Had a lovely stay visiting family in Streaky Bay. The Pub was busy and food amazing. Make sure you order the King George Whiting and Oysters.

The shops in town are fun and love the Streaky Bay Surf clothing store.
Filled out the NT border entry form, took about 5min each form.
Hotel was happy to print it out for us.
Off to the NT tomorrow

My Family and I are on a holiday from Brisbane to South Australia and Northern Territory. I will let you know our tips on traveling at this time, and post some beautiful photos 😊

We made it on our flight from Brisbane to Adelaide without any problems.
The airport was very quite which meant passing through security was very fast.

We boarded in rows, the plane was full, some wearing masks, others not.
Arriving in Adelaide we lined up to have our pre-filled border entry forms checked which took about 20mins.

We stayed at the Atura Adelaide Airport Hotel, which was modern, great breakfasts, and had the most comfortable beds.

Today we flew to Port Lincoln, again with no problems.

QLD to SA-complete and print the border form on line more than 72hrs prior to arrival

SA to NT- complete and print border form within 3 days of arrival

NT to QLD- complete and print border form within 7 days of arrival.

This is great, now we just have to be able to travel again to the USA to enjoy these changes 😂

When I saw United’s tweet announcing that they’re eliminating changes fees, I had to doublecheck that today wasn’t April 1st (who knows that day it is, anyway?) I mean, what?!...

Great article this week in Travel Talk magazine and one close to my heart as a Family Travel Specialist.
Good on the USA for starting this partition for families of young kids to be seated together on flights without having to pay the expensive seating fees.
Parents should not have to fight to sit with their kids when all are booked together.
