After our adventures in Sitka and Ketchikan, we had our morning coffee while enjoying the majestic views of the snow-capped mountains in the Endicott Arm Fjord. We journeyed through the Fjord’s 30-mile-long stretch awed by the surrounding granite cliffs, mountain valleys, and dozens of gushing waterfalls. Drifting icebergs, deep blue waters, and a spectacular tidewater glacier only add to this natural spectacle’s appeal. Our journey through the scenic Endicott Arm Fjord ended with a front-row view of Dawes Glacier. Standing over 600 feet tall and a half-mile wide, this very active icecap is known for its spectacular calving displays which produce huge, chunky icebergs that float in area waters.
Our next stop was Juneau, Alaska’s capital. Juneau is absolutely breathtaking, with its rolling mountains, standing over 3,000 feet tall. From the gaping landscapes to the dignified wildlife, there’s more than meets the eye in this unique port of call. Guests enjoyed whale watching and hiking, and we even met a new furry friend at our lodge!
