REST IN PEACE, PRESIDENT CARTER.

My strong desire to see the world and the call to serve landed me in Mali, West Africa in 2004....the same place as former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalyn. They were gracious enough to make time for a meet and greet because both Jimmy's mom and son served in the Peace Corps. His visit was the same week as our Peace Corps Swearing in, so we were all gathered to celebrate at the US Ambassador to 🇲🇱 home.

He was kind man, taking time to greet and thank each one of us....many of us weren't alive during his presidency.
It was a very cool day and once in a lifetime opportunity.

THE BEST OF THE TREASURE #5: THE TOMORROW TOWER SUITE

Located inside the ship's forward funnel is the BEST STATEROOM ON THE SHIP: The TOMORROW TOWER SUITE!
And we got a chance to tour it!

This futuristic EPCOT themed room is absolutely STUNNING!

If you're ready to stay here and need someone to fill your third bedroom, I'm happy to oblige!

THE BEST OF THE TREASURE #4: THE TALE OF MOANA

This show...THIS SHOW!! TRULY MIND-BLOWING!

The cast comes out prior to the show, chatting with the audience throughout the theater and then the show STARTS and you're in the middle of Montunui.

They use puppetry of all sorts including shadow puppets and full stage-sized puppets to gorgeously tell Moana's story. Gramma Tala is there narrating us through to keep the story flowing.

Any pictures of the show or recording is of course not allowed....but we wish that we had photos of our faces throughout the show--I'm sure my mouth was open in amazement the whole time.

Disney Cruise Line has always been known as a leader in Cruise Entertainment but this show had me wondering: Can a Cruise Show WIN a TONY??

THE BEST OF THE TREASURE #3: SAGE & CORIANDER

New on the Disney Treasure, they have two Entertainment Mascots named Sage & Coriander. They opened the Sail Away Party and popped up all over the ship telling stories and keeping us laughing. The way that this duo worked off of each other and the guests had me laughing constantly.

Honestly--I was so busy laughing, I didn't take many pictures of them.

Their best show was CHOOSE WISELY: AN INDIANA JONES COMEDY ADVENTURE.
The name had me intrigued but the show was priceless! They re-enacted each of the Indy movies and let guests choose how the story would end, then acted it out.

I'm ready to book my dad a Disney Treasure Cruise JUST so he can enjoy this show.

This pair was truly a Treasure and I LOVE this new addition to the Disney Treasure!

THE BEST OF THE TREASURE #2: THE DETAILS

Walking around the ship truly feels like an Imagineering Treasure Hunt. There are nods and details to Disney Movies, Parks and even Walt. So many of these details will be looked over by the common eye but hunting for them was my FAVORITE PART of the ship.

With the TREASURE, guests get 7 NIGHTS to Treasure Hunt!

THE BEST OF THE TREASURE #1: PLAZA DE COCO

I watched Coco on the airplane there and cried for the 1000th time, so I knew that I was likely going to LOVE this dining venue, but it was MAGNIFICO!! Disney has always done immersive well, but there's movie details at every turn--You really feel like you're in Marachi Plaza at Santa Cecilia at twilight.

Beyond the DIVERTIDA DETAILS, the dinner show was so sweet as well. We had the pleasure of viewing the "Remember Me" night with Miguel, Mama Imelda, Papa Hector and the Marachis, but regular guests will enjoy TWO SHOW NIGHTS when they sail on a Treasure 7 Night cruise.

For research, we ordered ALL the appetizers and ALL the desserts. They were all DELICIOSO. I especially enjoyed the meaty empanada!

EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED! Thank you, Disney Treasure for my amazing preview.

Its really hard to put a finger on my favorite part or area of Disney's Newest Cruise ship...I truly loved every bit of it.

I'm sifting through all of my photos and I plan to share them all here but for now I'll share our official cruise photos taken by the Disney Photographers

This ship is all about the details and I look forward to sharing those details with you soon.

TREASURE GRAND HALL CHANDLER

One of my favorite parts of the ship is the one you see first when boarding-- The Grand Hall and her chandelier

On Disney Ships, they have varying degrees of grandness, but this one might be my favorite-----
Its mesmerizing. It's feminine and masculine. Its breathtaking and gorgeous.

Our first day was quite a great one! Day 2 at Sea has many more Treasures for us to uncover.

WHAT DO NPH AND I HAVE IN COMMON???

We BOTH get to enjoy the Haunted Mansion Parlour and the ENTIRE Disney Treasure BEFORE its Maiden Voyage!

That's RIGHT! I'm sailing on the Disney Treasure in just 16 days on a Preview Cruise with Travel Agents.
I can't wait to show you all of the magical ins and outs of Disney Cruise Line's 6th Ship.

My ultimate Happy Place: the Parlor Bar on the new Disney Treasure! I was allowed a sneak peek before their maiden voyage next month, and it is utterly remarkable in every way..! The drinks, the decor, the effects, the lore… all just a Haunted Mansion triumph! Bravo to all who worked on this project, it’s a masterpiece! Can’t wait spend an entire 7-day cruise there next year!!
