“So why did you become a travel agent?”
Short answer: to help people travel to Disney like it’s their 10th visit, even if it’s their first. To help them have a better experience than I was able to have on my first go.
Long answer: I’ve actually been going to Disney since I was a kid.. but my first trip as an adult with a family was pretty rough. That’s not to say we didn’t have a good time, we actually had an amazing time.. but, of course, after countless hours of research, and I still left feeling like we could’ve done it a lot better.. had I known more.
Things have changed a lot at Disney over the years, not necessarily for the better or for the worser, it’s just different. The days of being able to just swing by and experience everything on a whim are nearly gone now. That’s not to say you couldn’t still have a good time without planning, you definitely can, but you may miss out on some of the best and newest attractions, and you may be up for some not so exciting surprises. People who travel to Disney these days typically do a lot of research and learning beforehand to get the most of their trip, and if you want to be up there with them, you may also have to know what you’re doing and have a solid plan of action.
For someone who has never been before, this can be very overwhelming.. and even for those who do their research, there are still plenty of hidden surprises when you arrive at the parks. You can research and study disney for months but you may still not know upon arriving that you should take metal objects out of your backpack and hold them in front of you through security before the parks to avoid a 20 to 30 minute wait in the bag check line. Or that you’ll be required to quickly purge your entire double stroller prior to boarding the skyliner, fold it up, and have to carry all your things and people onto a moving gondola.
And that’s why I’ve started to do this, because there is a better way to do the parks, and I’d like to help everyone know what that is.
At the end of the day my main goal, as a travel agent, is to help my clients, through data and research based tips and suggestions, to do Disney like a pro. To do Disney the way I was able to after all my research and multiple trips worth of experience were combined. Because I know that there’s a better way, and I want to help people get there, at no cost to them.
If you’d like help on your trip, please reach out at anytime, and I look forward to working with you.
