A wonderful review from recent guest:

We visited Ward Cottage in October of 2024 with another couple, a party of 4 adults. We absolutely loved it! The house was warm and inviting, was stocked with everything we could possibly want, had beautiful views off the upper deck, and was perfectly located! Once we arrived there was hardly a need to crank the car again, as we were able to walk to bars, restaurants, coffee shops (Kraken has KILLER cinnamon rolls!) and the Cumberland Island Ferry. We were also impressed by how friendly the town was...as soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we met several of the neighbors, one of whom was a crew member on the Cumberland Island Ferry and shared a ton of local knowledge. The main boat ramp is only a couple of hundred yards away, which was very convenient, as we brought a skiff with us to explore the local waters. On the advice of a friendly local we took the skiff to Fernandina Beach for lunch one day, a very pretty boat ride and excellent meal. Our cottage hostess, Michele, was super responsive and did everything to ensure that we had a wonderful time. You won't be disappointed in this home, and we can't wait to come back!
