a gone-by. Adventures await at Lazy Bear Oaks. Built before the turn of the century this cabin’s character is timeless. The cabin’s exterior is picturesque with authentic red wood siding and a patina seam copper roof. The stacked field stone chimney and fireplace underscore the beauty of the natural materials used both inside and outside. The post and beam construction fastened by wood pegs compliments the interiors rustic charm. Pella architect windows and custom reserve glass doors offer gorgeous mountain views from the inside. Curated antiques, hand painted art, real taxidermy and natural hide rugs makes the living space the perfect place to cozy up. Tongue and grove pine floors with radiant heat keep you warm in the winter. During the summer central air with dual zones and ceiling fans keep you cool. A western facing balcony with rocking chairs offers a front row seat to sunset views over the blue ridge. A screened-in porch with kitchen and master bedroom access opens to crisp mountain breeze. The kitchen features soapstone counter tops with a Viking professional gas range and oven. A culinary artist will appreciate the Lodge wildlife series cast iron and Calphalon signature cooking sets. Three outdoor cooking areas are available: a park style charcoal grill, Oklahoma Joe’s Longhorn combo grill and a brick oven. A natural stone firepit is also available for roasting marshmallows or sharing stories around a crackling fire. Pave stones and landscape lighting guide you to a 636 sq foot free standing deck with spectacular views and outdoor seating/dining. A Marquis signature 5-person hot tub provides soothing relief to weary muscles while offering scenic views. The cabin has two bedrooms and three full baths. The master bedroom features a queen sized Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress and pillows. The furniture is Black Forest barn wood bear carvings with premium quilted bedding. The upstairs bedroom features a queen Beauty Rest mattress and pillows with Black Forest décor. The upstairs bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub and the other two have walk-in showers. An office space is available with dual monitors on the first floor. A 65” Samsung Q led TV rests above the mantle and is ideal for curling up by the fireplace’s warm glow. With 2,225 finished sq feet and almost a 1,000 sq feet of exterior decking/porches this inviting cabin is the perfect getaway for one or two couples
