Welcome to Clifton-Fine -An Adirondack Community-

"Where Wilderness meets Water!"

Quietly nestled in the South Western corner of the Adirondack Park in Northern New York, lies the "Community" of Clifton-Fine. A remote, serene, raw, (and for the most part) untamed section of the park who's land mass totals over 300 square miles! Most of which, are "Forever Wild" State Forests, containing some of

the oldest growth forests in all of the Adirondack Park. This magnificent landscape is packed with some of the best, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, ATV and snowmobile trails in all of New York State! The trails are perfect for whole family expeditions, with easily hiked Bear Mountain; Tooley Mountain; Cathedral Rock; and Cat Mountain trails. To the (not for the faint of heart) "Cranberry Lake 50". A 50 mile, multi-use trail challenge, that circumnavigates the entirety of Cranberry Lake. (THIRD LARGEST LAKE IN THE ADIRONDACKS) On route, pristine scenery and plenty of potential to spot some of the Adirondack Park's most elusive wildlife. The abundance of rivers, lakes, streams, brooks and ponds, create a paradise for any nautical fanatic. With an extensive variety of fresh water fish, children, novice, intermediate, and professional anglers alike, will be certain they made the right decision to grab a pole, or "tip up" and toss a line into Clifton-Fine's waters. The waterways here also provide a prestige boating, canoeing, and kayaking experience. From sailing, jet skiing, motor boating and waterskiing, on the majestic Cranberry Lake, to puttering on a floating dock on the peaceful and quaint Star Lake, to white water kayaking and canoeing the mighty Oswegatchie River, (or anything else in between) our waterways will certainly never disappoint! Come see for yourself, what a true "Forever Wild" Adirondack experience is like. Come visit us here in Clifton-Fine.
