Southern California wind storm is producing critical wildfire danger and uncontrolled wildfires in the vicinity of Los Angeles. Winds ease this evening, although critical wildfire conditions continue through Friday.

Storm developing over southeast Texas this morning will produce a swath of winter weather from northeast Texas, across the Mid-South and then into the Mid-Atlantic region by Saturday. Significant travel impacts for I-20, I-30, I-35 and I-40. Expect I-95 to be impacted on Saturday in Virginia and North Carolina.

Cold, below normal temperatures persist for the next week for much of the East, including Florida. Colder than normal also for the Southwest and Texas.
