Looking for something new and exciting to do with your girlfriends? Ladies Night Out at the Georgia Southern University Shooting Sports Education Center is a great way to learn a skill while having fun with friends! 🎯

Ladies Night Out is perfect for both beginners and seasoned shooters. The class cost $55 for Georgia Southern students and $65 for the public. One box of ammo, a firearm rental and a target face are included in the fee. ✨

The class will take place from 6pm - 8pm on Friday, January 31. You must register 48 hours prior to the event date. Call (912) 478-7732 to reserve your spot.

This ultramarathon takes place at Hunter Cattle Company, offering a unique trail experience through grass pastures and shaded woods. 🏞️ Choose from 6-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour race options, all starting at 9 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Enjoy live music and delicious local food featuring grass-fed beef and pork from Hunter Cattle. It’s more than just a race—it’s a chance to connect with fellow runners and supporters in a fun, welcoming setting. 🎶🍴

Don’t wait—registration closes Saturday, February 1st at 11:59 PM! Packet pickup will be available on Friday, February 14th in the afternoon and evening, and again on Saturday, February 15th until 8:30 AM, just before the race starts. 🕛

Do you know the story of Beautiful Eagle Creek? 🦅🌊

Inspired by the gnat-infested drainage ditch that cut across the field between Georgia Southern Football’s locker room and practice fields, Coach Erk Russell convinced his players in 1981 that it was no ordinary ditch. He called it ‘Beautiful Eagle Creek,’ a source of ‘magical’ waters that symbolized pride and grit.

Today, the tradition lives on with the Georgia Southern Football program. Seniors are baptized in its waters, and a jug of Eagle Creek water travels with the team on the road—serving as a reminder of the legacy and determination that defines Eagle Nation. 💙

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this Saturday, January 18, at the annual MLK Jr. Day Parade. ✨

The parade begins at 1 p.m. in Downtown Statesboro, bringing the community together to honor Dr. King’s vision and impact.

Following the parade, a “Community Conversations” program will be held at Statesboro City Hall, located at 50 East Main Street. 🌟

The Center for Wildlife Education is open again! After months of repairs following Hurricane Helene, the center is ready to welcome visitors back! 🦅

Come explore live animal exhibits, see birds of prey up close, and walk through beautiful natural habitats. It’s the perfect spot for families, school groups, or anyone who loves wildlife and the outdoors!🪴

Located on the Georgia Southern University campus, the Wildlife Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Each day at 3:30 p.m., the center offers a daily program with different themes, providing an opportunity to learn about various animals and their habitats. Check the final photo to see the daily program themes. Also, don’t miss the special Reptile Program at 2:00 p.m. and the Raptor Program at 3:30 p.m every Saturday! 🦉

Stop by and experience everything the Wildlife Center has to offer! 😁

(While the grounds are open, the Raptor Walkway exhibit will be closed while work is still being done on renovations from the storm. Visitors can still meet the Raptors during the Daily Program.)
