Can you do a closed loop cruise without a passport? Yes, but it’s never advisable. Too many what ifs that can end up costing you way more than what a passport would initially cost. This was a first for me today, I booked clients an NCL cruise and received this email. Passport Renewal Looming?

One of my clients just shared their experience of renewing online with the new Beta release on the Travel.State.Gov website. She said the process was relatively easy online and had her passport renewed in 10 days without expediting.

There are only limited amounts of time they open the website for applications. She would get notices it was closed but finally got logged on and was able to apply. She did her own photo with a white wall and once she met the requirements in the photo she was able to submit with payment. She said it took less than 15 minutes and was very easy. Remember, this is for renewal only! Also, you want to make sure you are always on the correct website. The official website will never ask for extra money in fees. Passport book application or renewal fee is $130 for adults, $100 for children under 16. Expedited is an additional $60.

Keep those passports active and call me when you are ready to book your next getaway!

Clients departing Vancouver like to fly in a day early. I have another client leaving today on the Royal Princess for another Alaska cruise tour. They stayed at the Fairmount Waterfront Hotel and sent me this photo this morning. Porter took their bags directly from the hotel to the ship and they walked straight to the ship. They said the hotel was perfect!

I hope you don’t mind more Alaska experiences. Many clients debate purchasing the meal package on the land portion. I received this a short time ago from a client.

“You do not have to use any of these but we are having a wonderful time. The Denali express was phenomenal! I know it’s long but we felt like it went so fast. The crew was great-the food was amazing and the views- stunning! We are so happy we bought the land meal package. I would encourage everyone to do it. Our meal at King salmon last night was 158$ and was wonderful and we walked out with turning in our voucher. We seen moose and dall sheep on the train. Denali is spectacular! Heading out on the Tundra tour soon. Thanks for everything!”
