Step back in time this holiday season with a visit to the historic homes of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Filled with rich history and timeless charm, these homes bring to life the traditions, nostalgia, and spirit of simpler Christmases—none more so than the Woodrow Wilson Manse.
This Staunton treasure, built in 1846, was home to the Wilson family when future President Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28, 1856. Today, the home is part of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum, welcoming visitors daily for self-guided tours (closed on major holidays).

Don’t miss the phenomenal entertainment presented by the American Shakespeare Center -- six days week, 51 weeks a year. Actors perform using Shakespeare’s original (often interactive) staging conditions. The talent on display is tremendous, and the actors sing and dance too!
