Scallop season begins in Dixie & Taylor counties on Sunday, June 15th and will extend through Labor Day! It is extremely important to only harvest adult Scallops to ensure the smaller scallops make it to fall to reproduce. Make sure you use a scallop sorter from University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, Coastal Conservation Association Florida, or use the bottom of a soda can to determine if it's a "keeper"!
