I have had a few people ask me how they can help me personally while Steinhatchee Marina at Deadman's Bay and the rest of the town rebuild after Helene.

Here are some ways:

- Let’s go fishing! If you want to fish from now until the Holidays, (which is typically some of the best times of year) we can make it happen! We might have to make some special arrangements until the marina is ready but let’s go fishing! Kathi's Krab Shack is open and offering a full menu and there are lodging options available at places like Cabins On The Corner in Steinhatchee.

- Book your dates for 2025! If you want to go fishing on a Saturday or Holiday in 2025, now would be a GREAT time to secure those dates! $100 deposit is required.

- Buy SWAG! I recently received a new order of hats many of which would be perfect for hunting season. $25 for embroidered and $30 for the hats with leather patches (plus shipping, if needed). I will work on updating inventory on my website but for now, message me here and we will work it out!

Update:
My house is alright, one tree is on it but nothing seems to be majorly damaged…
However, my HOME, Steinhatchee (& ALL of the surrounding towns) are absolutely devastated.

I’m so so sorry for my multiple friends who have lost everything.

It will not be a fast recovery, but Steinhatchee will come out of this…

When "officials" recommend writing your name and identifying information on your body in permanent marker before the storm, you know it’s going to be bad.

If you’re one of my friends and staying in Steinhatchee, please leave town. I can have a place for you in Newberry or in Gainesville if needed, but please don’t try to “ride it out".
