We cannot begin to express the emotions since Helene. Along with our community we have experienced tears, laughter, anger, and every emotion possible. Our 2025 guide is on hold while we continue to monitor those up and running, in repair, or rebuilding.

We are working on a video to help show what our community has been through (good, bad & ugly). If you have any pictures or videos you would like to share please leave them in the comments below or send us a message. Community Meal Update from Kathi's Krab Shack!

We are beginning to see a decreased number in the meals needing to be provided for the community as people get settled in and more places are getting to open up! Due to this decrease and not wanting to waste food, we will not be stocking ready-made meals in our dining room. However, MEALS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. If you need a hot meal, please do not hesitate to send us a private message, call, or come in! We will make sure you and your family are taken care of. Thank you to everyone who has donated monetarily, food, and time to help support our community rebuild after Hurricane Helene.

Our heart breaks for our community and all of our small businesses! Bubsie's Bait and Tackle Shop was washed away and Anna has still been in the community volunteering her time to help others. It takes a village and we have some great ones in ours! ❤

To say we've had a rough few weeks might be an understatement. Check on your people, neighbors, stranger that looks like they need a kind word. Sometimes a smile can change a person's day. We are all tired, all have been in a fog, and all have something we are processing. We are so thankful for this community and all the small businesses here working to rebuild.
