Take a closer look next time you spin around! Each incredible figure here tells a story, reflecting the lives and personalities of our amazing sponsors and community members. Meet Millie!

Millie, one of the carousel's few canine companions, is a testament to the enduring bond between a man and his best friend. Donated by Al and Dagne Schoenbach, former board members for the Silver Beach Carousel Society, Millie is a loving replica of their own cherished pet.

Look closely and you'll see the incredible detail – the grooves carved to perfectly capture her shaggy gray fur, even the way it droops over her eyes and hides her yellow collar. A bright blue saddle sits proudly on her back, and a purple tag with her name in bold letters leaves no doubt about who you're riding with. But Millie's not just adorable, she's a symbol of protection too. Her breed, a French Sheepdog, is known for herding and guarding skills, which is why she has a little lamb hitching a ride on her back. They call her "The Guardian" after all!

Next time you visit Silver Beach Carousel, take a moment to appreciate the stories woven into every figure. You might just discover a new friend – or furry companion – waiting to greet you!
