Wow! Neat to see how interconnected this fishery is:

In March of this year one of our regular taggers was fishing in the Maryland waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Jeff Sykes caught and tagged a 43 inch Striper.
Three months later Jack Allen was fishing the Long Island Sound near Milford, CT. He landed that Striper and measured it, still 43 inches. He proceeded to release the fish with the original tag intact! If the fish took the short route there it would have been ~375 NM, or ~460 NM if it went the long way around. Either way it was some journey in 3 months time.
Kudos to both fishermen for being such good sports and helping to preserve the species.
