NEXT Steps provides youth (grades 2-12) with STEM++ education, entrepreneurship training, career mentoring and service learning opportunities.

Our Atwood Models introduce youth to career pathways in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and humanities through community gardening, volunteering, and a "bag of chips". Atwood is also our agricultural and environmental sciences program that converts underutilized green spaces into outdoor classrooms, community gardens, and nature-based activity hubs. Students visit Atwood Gardens to l

earn more about the scientific discovery method, geocaching, agricultural sciences and environmental engineering. We also host cultural and educational events at Atwood Gardens that encourage community science and increase involvement in health and wellness activities.

WE'RE GOING LIVE!

Thanks to Ms. Noreen Sealey Whitehead for helping us launch another JEM Team training session with the AgriTeens Club at Mundy's Mill High School. Registration will begin at the school on Monday, February 26.

Students can begin registering to launch the pilot of our Fresh Bites Greenhouse Pantry Service-Learning Program. Use the QR Code on the flyer to register.

The Smith Family Ranch

From to We're getting ready to launch Black Heritage Month @ The Smith Family Ranch.

We are looking for storytellers, artists, performers, content creators filmmakers, historians to join our arts & entertainment committee and/or perform around our amazing bonfire!
