While we have been waking up to both rain and snow showers this morning, all areas will likely make a transition to snow this afternoon as temperatures look to fall back. The greatest chance for accumulating snow will occur late this evening and into the early morning hours of tomorrow.

Good morning well I guess the snowmobile season is over for this year.
I will have to say in all the years of going up to the county I have never seen a winter quite like this one.
Would like to thank all of the clubs and their volunteers that made our short season a great one.
Please remember to donate when you can.
And I would like to say thank you to all that chose the cabin on the hill for their snowmobile trips this season.
Please keep us in mind for future rentals.

Oh not to early to plan for the upcoming ATV season.

Today is the last day for our general store in Stockholm .
The store is well known in the area for their steaks and pastries and as a gathering spot for the locals and has been a staple in the town for years .
I would like to wish Deb and Phil the best of luck in their next adventure.
I hope the next owners will pick up where they left off our little town needs the store .

It's official Caribou Snowmobile trails will be taking over the trails for the Nordic Lakers snowmobile club this up coming season.
We would like to thank Caribou for taking on the trails for this upcoming season .
I hope that all the riders that have supported the Nordic Lakers will now support the Caribou Snowmobile trails I have placed membership forms in my rental already to help make it easier to join the club along with forms for other clubs in our area .

This week is National Public Safety Tele-communicators week. Dispatchers play a critical role in the emergency response process. They multi-task various things all at once during a routine emergency. Obtaining critical information from excited or distraught callers, finding and dispatching appropriate resources for whatever emergency they receive and give life saving medical directions to medical emergencies.

We thank Maine State Police, Maine State Police-Troop F, Penobscot Regional Communications Center, and Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, who primarily receive emergency calls and send us the information, for their hard work!

Here at Caribou Fire Dept., personnel also have to be trained to be dispatchers as part of their normal duties. Not only do we recieve calls from 911 centers, we also receive emergency calls directly, dispatch our own resources for the emergency presented and continue to provide logistical support as needed.
