Storm Lake United's annual Chills and Thrills was an incredible success, drawing hundreds of participants to Downtown Storm Lake for a morning packed with spooky fun, sweet treats and some of the year’s best getups. Lake Avenue was filled with families, friends and festive costumes, creating an atmosphere of energy, excitement and community spirit.

Fifty-two local businesses and organizations participated, greeting trick-or-treaters and offering activities throughout the morning. Popular attractions included face painting, the ever-exciting "Pop-a-Shot" basketball game and a host of other Halloween-themed games that kept the crowd entertained. One of the biggest hits was the Storm Lake Police Department, with a line forming down the block as locals eagerly waited for the chance to take their very own mugshot—a perfect Chills ‘n Thrills keepsake! A crowd favorite was the first annual Caring Paws Costume Contest, which saw 15 entries.

Storm Lake United would like to say THANK YOU to all the members who participated, the volunteers who helped set up, Jones Nursery for delivering their pop-a-shot and the city of Storm Lake, who assisted with closing the street for safety. A special thanks to Storm Lake Candy Co, Kaleidoscope Marketing and Smokin’ Hereford for providing prizes for the participants.
